Does anyone have small rifle primers and small pistol primers they are willing to part with to sell?

Don't the normal gun shops have them?

I've heard that PA (local gun show guy) was selling winchester SPP for $200 a brick!  :wtf:   Actually--he's basing his prices on what they're going for on auction sites and mainland gun shows.  $200 a brick and vendors are selling out in minutes.

At that price I would sell some of mine too, but I have Federal SPP and match primers.

The highest price I've seen on an auction site was $1800 for a brick of Federal Gold Medal Match Large Rifle Primers--almost $2 a primer--that's totally nutz!  Someone was either really desparate or totally clueless  to actually pay that price :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

When people have the means and don't want to do without, they will pay the asking price.

Some of the buyers are speculating the situation will continue to worsen.  Some are trying to make a profit on what they overpaid for.  Others don't want to pay $3/primer in a few months, so they pay $2 each now.

Then there are the ones who already bought the same thing for way less over the last few years.  When they do cost averaging, dividing the total spent by the total number of units, the current per-unit price appears more affordable.

There are a million ways to justify something you really want to buy.

Shout Out to Security Equipment   . In January I called them to see if they had any LRP . . . none . . . they put my name on the list for CCI No. 200 primers. With all the talk of nation wide primer shortages, and ammo production has priority, I wasn't expecting to hear from them till late in the year. I was surprised to get a message from them this past Thursday that they have bricks on hold for me until Wednesday. Picked up today, $39.50 / brick. I put my name on the list for SRP today ;D.

I warned all of you on March 16, 2020 that this was going to happen and/or is already happening. Ammo, primers, powder and heads.

I bought all I could when I could and it is turning out to not be enough as far as SPP are concerned. I still have some but not enough to last me a year. Everything else I’m okay with for the time being.

I'm sure many are buying at those crazy prices to further restrict supply, in hopes they can resell at even higher, crazier prices later.

Anyone willing to trade my small or large pistol primer brick for your small rifle primer brick?
