Not exactly.

Ideally, for the American Republic to be restored the right way, there needs to be another constitutional convention with only those states wanting to be part of it.  The legal examples, from the 1st American Republic, would naturally serve as a template.  Those states who choose not to be part should be wished the best of luck and allowed to go on their merry way, to establish their own nations, in their own image and by the will, of their people.

You can't force a population will such dramatic and substantial legal, political, religious, economic, etc. differences to coexist and expect that nation state to endure.  Such nation states with those heterogenous population characteristics are typically empires, by-the-way.  A truly functioning and harmonious nation requires a homogenous population built on the same values, as did the original 13 colonies, of the 1st American Republic.
While I particularly dislike your monarchist, Hawaii race/culture centric point of view,
"You can't force a population will such dramatic and substantial legal, political, religious, economic, etc. differences to coexist and expect that nation state to endure.  Such nation states with those heterogenous population characteristics are typically empires, by-the-way.  A truly functioning and harmonious nation requires a homogenous population built on the same values, as did the original 13 colonies, of the 1st American Republic."
Is pretty compelling.
The problem is not racial, it is cultural.
In 1865 Americans allowed Democrat culture to survive.
That was a mistake.  Like allowing Moslems to survive.
A bad idea if you want to be free.
I think that city states are going to be the solution.
USA is history as you say.
As an example I'd love to secede from Honolulu.
and let them go their own way.
I'll stay in what is left of America, as long as Honolulu is out of it!
The majority of people in the USA live in large cities.
We Americans don't need them.  At all!
Name one large city that actually produces anything anymore.
Cities chased all production out into the rural areas.
All cities have is service industry, government, and slave classes,
that is it.
One thing you and most Democrats  miss is that the 13 colonies
wanted freedom, not government.

The problem is not racial, it is cultural.
I beg to differ.  The fact that most races have their own unique culture is one of the primary reasons that causes all multiracial nations states to fail, in the long-run.

All cities have is service industry, government, and slave classes, that is it.
Unless you are suggesting Thoreau-type total individual self-sufficiency or an Amish-type of civilization, large cities will always be the main parts, of 21st century modern nation states.

One thing you and most Democrats miss is that the 13 colonies wanted freedom, not government.
During the 18th century, the American Republic also did not want a large standing army, income taxes, and the end of slavery just to name a few.

As I am not a Democrat, to say they don't cherish freedom, however, would not be necessarily fair.  It is probably more accurate to say their ideas of freedom is just different from others.  Case-in-point, American patriots in the 21st century believes in freedom for all men and women, regardless or race, color, ethnicity, etc.  However, as referenced above, freedom to American patriots, including some of its most famous founding fathers, during the 18th century, would not have included African slaves, in their views, of freedom for all.

Cities provide technological advancements. Which is one of the main reasons America is so great.   🤔  Cities also produce the largest amounts of money aka gdp.  Cities provide production and factories.   One day they shall provide food hopefully.

Nope stacked hydroponic farming is the future.  More production, no pesticides. Closer to the destination.  Overall better for you and the environment.

Stacked hydroponics also create shade in the center of each layer beneath the top layer.  That requires artificial lighting to prevent uneven growth -- the plants closest to the windows grow much faster than the ones without direct natural light.

The electricity needed to run proper lights is significant.  The number of solar panels must be 20 times larger than the area to be illuminated.

So, unless there is nuclear, hydroelectric or some other alternative source of power available, the savings in carbon emissions by eliminating transportation of produce would be negated by the power used to illuminate the crops.

Solutions have to be able to account for ALL aspects of the problem without creating new problems that cancel out the benefits.

Correct.  Nuclear or hydro power are preferred.  Perhaps one day fusion power.  You can also have a light on each row.  Recycle waste and/or animal byproducts to fertilize and clean the water as part of treatment.  Very interesting near future perspectives on farming.

So free sunlight usage that cost zero electricity and zero impact to the environment (no need install solar panels) is not good enough?  Does the USA have a major food shortage that people are going hungry?

I think the argument is that the population is projected to reach 9.1 Billion by 2050.  That assumes half isn't wiped out by the COVID plague we are terrified of.

Food shortages will be apparent then, as our current production will satisfy only 70% of that number.

Of course, growing food for salads isn't going to sustain everyone.  We still need wheat, rice, corn and other staple products that most hydroponic systems are not able to produce in any large amounts.  Imagine the size and weight needed to grow several layers of corn stalks.  Then imagine being able to grow several more layers than that if you grew tomatoes and beans instead.

Then there's the labor to plant and harvest the crops.  Most large farms growing soy, corn and wheat use machinery to till, plant and harvest.  I'd imagine the layered hydroponic gardens need to be managed by hand.

Crops are normally rotated to prevent depleting all the needed nutrients from the soil.  How will that come into play using hydroponics?

Lots of details the supporters of these "solutions" seem to always leave out.

Maybe that was China's purpose all along.  Wipe out half a billion globally and replace them with a fresh half billion Chinese babies.

Unfortunately, sad and 100% true.

As much as everyone likes to think technology will improve the human condition, all technology does not come without a price.  No one will deny the rising standard of living that technological progress brings, but in the final accounting, someone or something will have to lose.

Upon deep reflection, sometimes the lifestyle, as so advocated by Groveler, for a self-sustaining Amish-type societies, similar to the Hawaiian cultural fanatics that seek a return to a pre-contact way of life, may actually be the most optimum lifestyle that keeps the human and environment interaction in balance.

However, the forgoing, of future technological advancements, will need to cease, in favor for sustainability; and that is something that I don't believe most human beings living today will accept.

Unfortunately, we left the self-proficient life over a century ago.  You do what you are good at, sell your labor or product to others who can't produce it or can't do it as good, and they in turn do the same.  Then everyone uses the proceeds to buy what they need from others.

Most people are not prepared to create clothing from woven cloth, let alone from raw cotton.  We can't raise our own livestock, grow our own veggies, or build our own houses.  Not only are we not learned in these areas, we must also navigate government rules, regulations and codes to make sure we aren't violating some safety or environmental restriction.  All that is not only outside most people's experience, it also takes time and energy which requires a large family, a commune or hired help.

Living "off grid" is easy in the beginning if you can buy all the stuff you'd need.  Once you have to deal with equipment failures, livestock diseases, roof lifted off by a hurricane, or crops destroyed by drought, you're looking at renewing that dependency tendril that you wanted to sever.

Well said.

Like most others on this forum, I try to prepare for disasters, as best I can.  However, I already know that unless I have the experience and knowledge of maintaining a self-sustaining compound or live in a fully independent Amish-type village, there is no way my immediate family and I could survive in the long-run.  As you pointed out, once my off-the-shelf type preps fail and resupply or repair does not exist, my family and I are screwed.

Yep.  And once you realize you need to start traveling to scavenge food and supplies, your nice shelter you spent years fortifying will be just a place you used to live in.  I believe the term for people roaming from place to place to scavenge is "nomad" or "hunter-gatherer."  Unless you can sustain AND PROTECT your own food supplies, you won't have much choice.

The scariest part most people fail to plan for when they prep is the eventuality of having to leave the shelter and look for stuff.  Let's say you have 12 months water and food for the inhabitants of your buried Matson container.  If you wait in your comfortable and safe shelter until the supplies get low before searching for more, the shelves in local stores are going to have been cleaned out.  You've given everyone 12 months give or take to scavenge without you competing for the stuff.  Now you'll be looking for crumbs, because that's probably all they left you.

Cultural Appropriation turned up to 11.

White British Guy Gets 18 Plastic Surgeries to Become Non-Binary Korean

A white British man underwent 18 plastic surgeries to look like a member of the K-Pop band “BTS.”

A British TikTok “influencer” named Oli London said he spent more than $200,000 to look like his favorite K-Pop musician Jimin.

“This is my new official flag for being a non-binary person who identifies as Korean. Thank you for the overwhelming support it was so hard for me to come out as Them/they/kor/ean,” said Oli London, who is now identifying as “Park Jimin HueningKai Taeyong Imnida.”

“I am gonna come out today and say that I’ve been transitioning. I’ve been very unhappy with who I am deep down for the last eight years and I’ve had, like, 18 plastic surgeries now…” he said.

Perhaps I have not made myself clear.  I'm all in for High Tech, I have a degree in Computer science and own 5 computers!
and I'm retired.  My favorite Jobs were Reat Time  and automation systems design.
What I advocate is getting away from large cities "Mentality".  It breeds Democrats, people not capable of thinking
critically about life's problems they face.
They depend on other people to solve their personal problems, as opposed to asking for help as
they work to solve their personal problems.
Like the old saying "The squeaky wheel gets oiled", when in reality the
defective wheel needs to be repaired or replaced.
While I appreciate the Real Amish's way of life, I certainly don't want to give up modern technology!
While I may mill my own flour from wheat berries, I appreciate the supply line from mines and wells,
to machines, to transportation, et al to get those berries to me here in Hawaii.
As I have stated in past comments, in this modern society, those functions are not in the cities anymore.
Fiat money is not wealth, it is a construct like the Movie "Matrix".  Land and freedom is wealth.
Everything else is just tools to make your life more bearable.
Old farts know this, the present generation does not.
