Today is NATIONAL MUTT DAY!
Celebrating all the unwanted doggies of the world.
Here is my mutt story...
About 5 years ago this doggy wandered up to my house with a broken rope around his neck and covered in fleas and ticks.
My son ran up to Walmart and bought food and flea medicine for him. We walked him all over the place trying to find his home.
We took him to the pet hospital to check for a chip. We took care of him for about a week, then turned him over to the Humane Society.

The next day they called me back and said, "Would you like to adopt that dog?"
Of course, my kids said yes. So we did.
He is a pretty smart dog, but his feet can't reach the pedals

Mutts are unpretentious, super friendly, never stuck up like some pedigreeds, lol!

They are an unrefined lot but I love them dearly.

Oh, and they don't get sick as often too.  Their immune system is rock solid.

Best dumb decision I ever made getting the second one.

Cops told me I had to get a big dog.
They’re hard to conceal carry though.

OF’s is a semi compact model.
He’ll assault you though. I’ll leave it at that.

I convinced my wife to get a pitbull poidog mix because I knew she would fall in love with it and they would never allow her to take it back to her home country where it is illegal to own them. The plan has worked pretty well so far.

Tonight the mutt gets a prime rib bone as his treat on mutt day....and I'll even leave most of the meat on it.

but seriously, I found some generic mini sandwiches at the Walmart store.
They are less than 3 bucks for 16 sandwiches. So I treat my work crew with these little things.
Since they are small and most of the guys I work with (and me) are pre-diabetic, everybody love them.

I was giving out cream puffs that my daughter made.
They were similar to Liliha cocoa puffs, just a little smaller.

Yes, it certainly is National Watermelon Day.
Nothing quite like it on a warm summer day. But a can of beer takes up far less space in the frig.
