Help with custom ammo.

Aloha all,
     I recently purchased some .223 ammo that appears to be hand loaded. I am trying to fire it from a bolt gun and it seems to be loaded a little too long. I have no experience reloading and was hoping there was someone that could help reseat the bullet to correct tolerances. I am willing to pay for services. Thank you.

not recommended if you don't know the load specifications...

The bullet could be seated correctly but the case is long.

One trick is to use a Sharpie marker - blacken the entire head and shoulder, chamber and extract the round to see where the ink has rubbed off.

Just wondering what is stamped on the base of the brass? Could it be 5.56?……..  ???

Oh my.
I doubt that the bullet is the problem.
Was this "custom ammo" made for somebody else?

How many of these rounds did you get?
I'm thinking that you would be better off selling it to someone with an AR15.
If they work in an AR15.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIRE IT should be the 1st response.
Do not pass on any possible unsafe or questionable loaded ammunition to someone else should be the 2nd.

You can't fix what you can't see.
Drop me a line and I can come over to check it out for you.
Will need the ammo as well as the rifle for measurements.
I got tools....takes about 10-15 minutes.
It will tell you what the dimensions are....but the charge is still a questionable criteria.
"CUSTOM" loading is considered a specific load formula ...developed for a one specific rifle chamber.

This is why I NEVER buy or sell reloads and I shoot only my reloads in my guns.
