Dude.
Ponder……
Read what you wrote and argue against it……..
If you have no argument against it. Keep pondering……
Chess. You should always be able to argue against yourself unless it’s a fact ( limited applications)
And be two moves ahead or ready to learn.

based on his/her/its history of posts on this forum, that's not gonna happen

Like literally, dude.

But seriously, stuff like the 10 plagues of Egypt (et al) is interesting to me.  I'm interested in ancient Egypt, mostly for the pharaohs and mummies and stuff, but all of that history, and what came before them is super interesting to me.

It's way more interesting than anything that comes out of the mainstream entertainment machines these days. So much to unpack.

The S&G story for example. Was it really fireballs from heaven that destroyed the place?

Or could it have been something like a LACK OF MORALITY in the armed forces that made discipline impossible also contributed to a series of events where the cities they were supposed to protect burned to the ground?

Stop blaming lazy people. We didn’t do anything.

You sure now?  Final answer.  Nothing mistyped, miscommunicated, etc?

Yes.

A challenge eh.  Hmmm morals are self actions/rules or social rules on what is right and wrong.

Occasionally over the ten thousand of years (possibly longer) there were scribes who observed the many disasters during the cycles of history.
They figured out that a certain set of rules kept societies more or less stable, while others who did not follow the rules rapidly went down the toilet.
Unfortunately today way too many people do not understand what a powerful and useful tool myths are, and either take them literally or dismiss them altogether.

I do agree in the past without true science they used myths and religions to keep people and society in check.  This is why I also believe religion is false.  It was a tool of the past.

Yes.
Ok.  Now look up the definition of morals, including discussion from academics.

Then also look up "societal norms". . .

And then come back. . .

I was basically spot on...

A person's standards of behavior or beliefs concerning what is and is not acceptable for them to do

Moral refers to what societies sanction as right and acceptable. Most people tend to act morally and follow societal guidelines. ... Morality describes the particular values of a specific group at a specific point in time

Yeah, I've been watching a lot of shows on ancient Egypt, WWII, etc.  Many from the early 2000.  Digressing, but the subject of WWII is a very complex issue, especially well before US jumped in. The who and who were "beligerants" and how that changed over the years. I found accountings from say the British and other nations even more interesting.
