I started shooting regularly in the mid-80s.  With Air Force qualifications, personal range time, Front Sight Academy, and competition, I'm sure I've gotten well over 100 hours of live fire training.

Pretty much ZERO hours at this point  :(
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

Clarify your poll.
Is that per year?
Does regular range practice constitute "training"?

I would guess I'm well over 100 hours per year on range time.
But a lot of that time is lip flapping and waiting for the relay to end.

Lifetime, maybe yes.

Yearly, monthly, weekly, daily,........no :(

But now that I'm retired, I'm looking to attend classes in both rifle and pistol.  Need to start from the beginning.

Are there classes for old futs?  I'd rather attend classes with old futs since I'm an old fut.  I don't wanna run and gun with the youngsters.  I wanna run with the old futs.

You know, instead of "run and gun" more like "shuffle and wheeze...then gun" :D
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

If taken by a lifetime I have greater than 100 hours.  If taken by the year than less than 100 hours. This is if training includes range practice.   This is mostly a hobby.  I have no desires to compete professionally or become a commando.

True.  And it can be a different kind of shape.  No, not the "round is a shape".  ;D

But seriously, when I got back into classes after not shooting regularly for a while, I really felt it.  Not only cardio, but like in my delts in a carbine class.  I mean I would have been "feeling it" by the end of even a full day class, but even more so after a break.  Then magnified when my first class back was with an LPVO gun, which was heavier than with just my normal 1x red dot.  It wasn't THAT much heavier, but the ounces = pounds was definitely felt.

And has a variety of ages. Oldest guy is probably 60s and does fine.  If there is any running, you can choose not to.  My wife had plantar fascitus and isn't able to run. She walked that portion of the end of the class team competition.

Breaking news:  People evolved over time.
Was into training, then realized I just wanted to practice at the range.  Now its more of a hobby and a collection.  All valid.  Not everyone has to be commando tier.

Physical condition too,  covid = no gym.  I am flat out of shape I couldn't properly train even if I wanted to.  Who knows what the future entails.  I plan to get back into shape and maybe I'll get a bit more serious.  But either way 2a isn't about that.  You can fully embrace 2a but never firing a shot.

when someone is "that guy", you need to reduce opportunities in the future for that to happen again...

I don't recall doing anything unsafe.  You sure you got the right person?

I'm starting to think this is just an attempt at slandering me.
