As far as people who do it professionally I have no idea. Maybe there's a small business opportunity for someone?

I don't know how bad yours are, but I'd highly recommend the spyderco tri-angle for everything up to a chef's knife. It doesn't remove a lot of material and won't fix it if it's messed up, but as far as maintenance sharpeners go it's my favorite.

I suggest you to learn to sharpen your own knives. My old school Lansky does an excellent job
with a minimum amount of skill. Today there are many more choices that are easy to use.
As a chronic DIY person I also realize that you need a pro at times, but if you can DIY you will
save time and money. Practice on a cheap blade first.

i purchased the worksharp precision adjust kit a few months ago
haven't used it yet
they came out with an upgrade kit oct 1
you can also buy the system with the upgrade for cheaper than separately
they screwed the early adopters...

Any pictures of the knives you want sharpened?  Are they kitchen, hunting, or edc blades?  Any strange shapes?  What types of grinds do you need.  I sharpen a ton of knives for family and friends.

I too use lansky. Good for the price and I rarely need to sharpen knives.. But if you have the cash laying around and if sharpening knives is gonna be done multiple times a year... Get a wicked edge kit.

Black Friday is coming up rather quickly. Shit it felt like new years was just last month to me lol.

I have the Wicked Edge WE130. Looks like it’s call the Precision now. Not the top of the line, but same concept. Once you know (or transition) the angle to your preferred, super easy and fast to do maintenance sharpening. Takes a bit more time for “hair popping” sharp, but I don’t need that for edc.

I have used the Wicked Edge for kitchen knives as well, but I like whetstones, preferably for knives without bolsters.

But on sharpening services, there was a shop on McCullt St that was the $5 rate per knife. One good friend said he was really good and fast. I was going to try for serrated knives one of these days.

For kitchen knives I just use a chef sharpening steel. Secret is not to let your knives to get dull in the first place and don’t throw them all together in a drawer. I put mine on a magnetic rack. There are only 3 that I use all the time.  The rest are rarely used.
