So does everyone else get a raise?  I was a bag boy at Times making $10/hr. At the time, the cashiers were making $18/hr. So if I got a raise by X %, then the cashiers and all other workers should too right?  Cause if not, might as well quit and work as a bag boy/girl.

On a side note, I did work with an older guy who was a bag boy, his family had money and he wanted a zero stress job.

If you allow government to break the law for an "emergency" they will create "emergencies" to break the law.

Going from Hilo side to Costco in Kona, 210 mile RT from my house, not worth it any more.  Even Costco gas not cheap.

My liberal friend was complaining about Russia driving up prices last night. I reminded him of the stimmies and how I warned him at the time that printing tons of money and handing it out to everyone was a bad idea.

“It worked pretty well for me though. I actually have some money in savings now.”

Why do I get the image of this person doing terrible with word problems in their math class?

"If you have $100, and the price of gas goes up 10%, how much less is your $100 worth in terms of buying gas?"

I curious to see what would happen if gas hit $10 a gallon. Never looked or really paid attention, but is there enough room to put double digits for the $ on the pump? Or will they switch to liters and put a price like $2.519 per liter.

Not sure if it was here or elsewhere, but I suggested that they would switch to liters.
People are so stupid they would think there was a dramatic price decrease.

Wouldn't be surprised.  Saw this with groceries where prices go down or remain the same, only because the packaging changed and you're actually getting less product.

Yep.  A "mental" thing.  Same pain but because of the packaging, one can handle that pain better, lol!!

I also was fooled for a while.  We visited Japan a while back and my BIL went to put gas in the car and I commented, "Wow, the price of gas here is cheap!!"

Before he could mention that the price is per liter, I figured it out......
