There are plenty of FFL holders in Hawaii that you could use to transfer the firearms via USPS to another FFL holder in Texas where you could pick them up from.  Then just use whichever moving company you want to move your furniture and whatnots.

If you are sending a container,  just put it in there.

"Packed by owner"
Mover doesn't need to know.

High-theft items like firearms go missing in household goods shipments all the time.  "Packed by owner" is often a flag that there's something of unusual value there.

You're going to need to pay the carrier for additional insurance either way, to cover the additional cost of insuring the value of your shipment.  The standard insurance coverage amount they include is never enough for most household goods shipments.

If the firearms are not listed in the inventory and go missing, you'll need proof that you actually shipped them, and not a box of bricks or books.

Most movers are okay with moving firearms.  They will, however, not ship any ammunition.

Ward North American did a rug pull at the last moment.  I've used them where every state I was assigned to shipped just my firearms.I have a FFL at the destination.

Sorry to hear that. How did the shipper figure out that the boxes had weapons?

I met an old guy at HPD who was shipping his dozen guns to San Antonio. His weapons were included in his household belongings, which were already in a 40 ft container.

In the future, just put your rifles in guitar cases (Epihones are safest since only an idiot would steal them), and shove the handguns into camera bags. Everything should be concealed in cardboard boxes.

Most of the big airlines allow you to check several bags for free with a first class ticket.  I'll pack the mid-price rifles (without scope) in some Pelican cases when I move. If this is good enough for soldiers, it should suffice for me.

Keep in mind that if you pass within 1000 feet of a school, the federal school gun free zone comes into play. Which means any case/bag holding the gun will have to be locked.  So if the guitar case has no lock and is in a cardboard box on the way to the shipyard, that's a no go.  Would you get caught?  Almost not.  Last I checked in 2018, there were 50ish people nationwide charged for violating this federal law and many were add on charges. 1 guy was not, he was 996 feet from a school and arrested/charged. IDK what ever came of this case.

I think most airlines also have a limit on the number of firearms an individual can check in their baggage.  Last one I researched was 5 max.
