Yeah, they might have better weapons and armor vests and shit like that but we have the home field advantage.
I have to totally agree with this. Subjugating an armed population is extremely expensive.
And no - I’m don’t delude myself into thinking that I’m equivalent to even the gayest, crippled Afghan fighter that they fielded over there. Nevertheless, if that day should actually come, choosing to die trying to kill as many as I could of them would be far preferable than the only other alternative left me at that point - and I’m sure I’m far from alone in feeling that way.
I think it’s very clear that we make the U.S. civilian population kind of like a porcupine to foreign (and domestic) enemies.
