Trump has been the most vetted, investigated and spied on President in history.

Haven't seen a fraction of these tactics done to the Democrats who targeted Trump.

I think we have had enough of trying to find any of Trump's skeletons.  Time to turn that spotlight on the people who impeached him without naming a crime.

Sure, he is such a saint, we have seen his whole closet already, yet he sure is fighting hard to keep everything secret.

The tribalism never ceases to astound me, supporters (of any person, not just Trump) will find any way to justify not looking further into their guy.

" will find any way to justify not looking further into their guy. "
Yeah, any further than 5 years and counting would seem extreme.
Let's just see ALL of the evidence.
I mean, what could they possibly need to hide ?

After millions of tax dollars, years of investigation, millions of pages of documents, hundreds of testimonies taken, and even digging up the Stormy scandal, they have nothing.  Even his own lawyer's records contained nothing of value -- anything that he could have used for his own plea deal was not to be found.

Either Trump is the evil genius you seem to believe he is, or there's nothing left to find.

Bug-eyed California Senator Adam Schiff went on CNN and MSNBC routinely saying that the evidence against Trump was compelling and in the public domain.  Yet, when the Dems impeached Trump, they came up with Zero actual crimes to charge him with.  When asked later, after the impeachment ended in acquittal, Schiff doubled down saying the evidence is still there.  He has yet to produce that evidence.  What the hell is he waiting for?

I think everyone has something they are not ethically or morally proud of and don't want to be the headline in every major paper in the nation.  But, that does not rise to the level of criminal behavior.  I believe Trump has a higher moral value system than every President since Reagan.  He didn't just do what was popular to get reelected.  He did what he thought was right.  Anyone who gains that level of trust with me is going to be "my guy."  I don't care if they had a TV show or not.

Before the campaign, it was hard to find anyone who had a negative word to say about Trump.  When he ran against Hillary, he suddenly became the White Supremacist, racist, raping, insane, fascist, planet-killing Hitler of this century.  Funny how that narrative didn't exist for someone in the public eye his whole life prior to 2015.

A false dichotomy.

Flapp_Jackson

A false dichotomy.

Because you believe it is, or because you have evidence to support the antithesis.

If a hypothesis is proven false, the opposite must be true.  It remains so unless evidence and data is found that supports the hypothesis.  I've yet to see you post a single fact that supports the theory that Trump colluded with Russia to interfere with the election.  As a mater of fact, more evidence has come out to support the narrative that Hillary, the DNC and the lawyers they hired conspired to create & push the false stories about Trump and Russia.  At this stage, we all know that's the truth, but it's taking the government years to round up the evidence.

No evidence has been found to even suggest Trump was working with Russia, hence there must not be any evidence to find.

Unless you have proof that's a false statement, failure to accept it is argumentative at best.

Talk about denial!

Hmmmm, fight to keep things private. Like if hpd pulls someone over for speeding and wants to search the vehicle just because (no other factors) . They know the law/rights, they must be hiding something.

I didn't say anything about a Trump Russia collusion, I just said skeletons in the closet.

Not sure how you think a Russia collusion investigation proves Trump never did anything illegal  anywhere else in his career.

If the IRS audits me and finds suspicious things and subpoena my records but I sue to try and stop it wouldn't you be at least a little suspicious that I might have done something wrong and am trying to hide it? If the government is using the proper means to look at my financial records thats a little different than a fishing expedition disguised as a traffic stop.  I understand the belief that this is just some politically minded hit job but claims of improper doings by Trump have existed well before he ever ran for president.

Its not that I trust the government to never do anything wrong, my problem is the rush to defend Trump instead of being objective about the whole situation.

The IRS has his tax returns and so does any government entity who legally requires it. Like I  assume b4 being president, this part is included in the background check.  Trump is fighting to keep it private from anyone who is not authorized to view them.  Which I don't see a problem with that, as he is obeying the law.

Look what they did when they found out Trump owned part of the company that makes Remdisivar. Then the fake news found out it was part of a mutual fund and 13% of that fund (total fund was for $50,000 which is chump change to him) was allocated to it, of which he has little control over. The fake news then dropped the story.  Imagine what they will make up when they look at his tax returns or any other private documents.I would say he has a very good reason to keep what is not required to be known private.

Flapp_Jackson

Part of the issue with cooperating with the IRS is they believe they have a right to any information in your life.

Most of the time, the agents and customer service people who answer phones can't answer the detailed questions that come up.  They make stuff up rather than say, I don't know."

Trump and other companies/wealthy people hire these accounting firms to help them comply with the IRS as the law requires.  They also are supposed to know what the law requires and does not require to be divulged.  They create years-long plans to take advantage of the tax laws exclusions and special handling.

If the accounting firm thinks there are discrepancies in the reports they receive from Trump Enterprises, I imagine those problems existed long before now.  I think that accounting firm is complicit, if not the authors of, some "creative accounting procedures" that are now being scrutinized by the courts due to subpoenas.  They are afraid of corporate and individual exposure criminally for potentially getting away with some "discrepancies," and are now trying to put a spin on the situation by saying the problem lies with Trump's records -- not in the firm's interpretation (or violation) of the tax code.

I don't think Trump was the mastermind behind anything his company misreported to the IRS.  I think he paid people to do what they could to comply while also taking advantage of the code.

Meanwhile, AOC is still paying her boyfriend a million bucks a year as a consultant.  Not a word about that in over a year.

And by “objective” of course you mean ignoring the rampant criminality of his investigators, because somebody might find something some day.
If you allow government to break the law for an "emergency" they will create "emergencies" to break the law.

So lets say another agency has reason to believe that the Trump organization has committed some sort of fraud, should they not be able to go through the courts to obtain the relevant records? The IRS has his federal returns, sure, but if the crime being investigated is not concerning federal taxes then the IRS isn't going to look into it and they may or may not hand the documents to another federal agency or to a state agency without a court order (I don't know exactly how that works).

For those that are defending him so hard here I don't see them considering the key question: Does there exist enough cause for Trumps records to be sought and turned over? Instead I see more of a desire to defend him than to answer the key question.

Trump can fight subpoena requests and search warrants through legal means if he desires. I just don't think that his desire not to have information kept private does not supersede a justified criminal investigation. (obviously one not justified is an abuse by the government)

I was listening (or reading?) to a debate about police body cameras and the vast majority of times

This is news to me, what rampant criminality on the part of his investigators?

Were laws not broken when the FISA warrant applications were submitted?  Even Comey admitted he would not have signed them now, given the facts that have been made public.  Of course, he pretended those problems with the applications were unknown to him at the time.  Incompetent, or a liar?
