False narratives are a threat to public safety and that kind so speech is not free. Since you apparently feel threatened are you part of the problem? Are you spreading false narratives and misinformation that causes harm to people?

The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors. These threat actors seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest, which could potentially inspire acts of violence. Mass casualty attacks and other acts of targeted violence conducted by lone offenders and small groups acting in furtherance of ideological beliefs and/or personal grievances pose an ongoing threat to the nation.

To minimize the non-stop back-and-forth insults, be advised that insults perceived by mods to have crossed a line will receive a timeout.
Anyone arguing with a mod's decision to issue a timeout may also receive a timeout. 
More serious repercussions (including longer time outs or even permanent bans) could be considered if someone continues even after multiple warnings.

To be objective I have to ask myself, is it not possible that false narratives could become a terror threat? It would seem to me there are situations that they could be. Not that I have such faith in the government but false narratives can be quite deadly.

Define terror threat.  Then define false narratives.

Words can be characterized as "terroristic threats," but words are not terrorism.

Threats do not cause death, injury or destruction.

Threats that are determined to be credible and imminent can result in charges, but again, threats when void of action are just words.

A false narrative alone is not a threat -- terror-related or not.

The proper response to misinformation, false narratives and lies is open, honest and well-supported counter-narratives.  When the truth is presented side-by-side with the lies, most people are able to pick out which is the lie.

Pretending we should treat words the same as acts of terror is why we have the 1st Amendment.  The right to free speech is limited in that you can't communicate a real threat to a specific person or organization.  But to speak out against that person or organization is protected -- even if it's false.

Anyone who's experienced actual terrorism would laugh if you told them words -- any words -- can be a terror threat.

What if the public institutions are what’s causing the harm to the people?

Or is that not within your realm of possibilities?

Are public institutions never to be questioned by the governed?

What if the public institutions say you're not allowed to discuss their wrongdoings amongst yourselves? 

Is that still a democracy?

How are they making a play for the First Amendment? You can't call "FIRE" in a crowded theatre. You can't call out for people to be killed.
