We are mostly little better than a third word state and our rural communities reflect that, so check this out

Wife was asking about switching to solar and I was like “you know how much batteries cost?”

Every 3 to five years you have to replace them, assuming they are available.
Stop blaming lazy people. We didn’t do anything.

I was advised to use forklift batteries.
They are pretty bullet-proof.
Difficult to install in rural places, but
very robust.

I'm going with a green battery myself. No solar panels, just using hay and water you get free energy.... And milk.

I love the idea, but it would be a little unnerving to constantly be around a cow who has "theres something in my butt" face.

Most of us don't know what that face looks like.  It's "unnerving" that you do!      :geekdanc:

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Speaking of gas, I know the land fills produce methane but is burned off as a waste. There was an article a while ago talking about this.
https://www.hawaiibusiness.com/new-source-for-renewable-energy/
Now with all the climate change green energy slop they keep throwing around as soyence I was wondering if they had made any moves towards using this source of energy. They have been pushing local sustainable renewable and I guess this is on the table somewhere.  I dont know if the refinement would make it an energy net negative.
Anyone know if is in development?
Honestly I think it could be a viable option especially if we are looking at a breakdown in transportation. Heco could use it to buffer power production.
