What downward angle is this?

I never cared for the Glock grip angle after decades of 1911 handling.  But, that angled the barrel up for me.

Have a Glock 30 now because I like the.45, but other than here in AZ, not carrying the little guy.   Too big for a pocket, picking up a Galco IWB to see if I can get used to that.
Are you questioning the Mr. 1911?   ;D

Joking. . .

For me, when I tried the 365, the angle of the slide felt like it was pointing more downward than compared to my vp9, p10C or M&P 9C.  I also get the same feeling when I shoot P320s (all sizes/models, except Wilson frame).  The 1911 feels like my other guns.

I've also tried various Glocks and no downward angle feeling.  Maybe it's the way my body structure is.

if i want small I should go with the regular Hellcat or the RDP model
the pro model doesn't come with the external safety that I want

It came down to these two. Very similar but some differences. Either one will do the job, but I chose the Sig P365 with manual safety bc the grip felt better to me a little smaller than the Hellcat but the Sig fits my mediumish hands better. Trigger felt smoother on the Sig, although the Hellcat trigger felt crisper break, just my preference. I like the 3 dot tritium sights on the Sig vs the U shaped rear sight on the Hellcat which is non tritium, but the Hellcat front sight is brighter. Sig isnt optic ready but I'm not going to run a RDS on it, want to keep it small so can pocket carry. Hard decision but for me, I like the Sig slightly better

Seems like Sig P365 is in the lead. . .  ;D

It's only been a week, so you still have a while before you reach CMO status. . .

I guess I'll have to try shooting the P365.  I've long wanted to P320, but kept talking myself out of it, mostly due to cost of the support equipment.  That and I haven't been shooting pistols that much in the past couple of years.  And when I do shoot pistols, I try to work with the "tried and true".

already bought the P365.  with night sights and external/manual safety.  its the Tac Pack package with 3 extended 10 round mags and a holster, but I hear the holster isn't that great
but I can keep posting about it for another few weeks or so   :shaka:
came down to the Hellcat and the P365 bc I wanted a small size pistol.  the Sig just felt better in my hands.  I would have been happy with either one.  we shall see how it shoots and how the ergonomics are.
who knows, I might wind up getting both.  wouldn't surprise me.
why fight temptation when you can give in to it   >:D
also got a couple extra mags, safariland ALS holster, and DeSantis pocket holster for it.  mags were not cheap either, about same price as the HK ones....expensive.
gotta pay to play is what they say

Awesome!  :geekdanc:

And yes, just DO IT!  When trying to decide between to solid options, I tend toward get both and try.   ;D

Yeah, the support equipment and ammo gets ya.  The cost for mags, holsters, replacement sites, etc.  Add to that some guns, I have belts, holsters, mag pouched for both competition and training.  More fun!  O0

Good choice on the SIG P365.
This was my choice also.   :shaka:

and it's not too expensive like getting 2 Nighthawk Customs, or Wilson Combat, or even a higher end Springfield 1911.
I went in the LGS looking to get their Vickers Tactical 1911 but since it was sold already, I had enough $$$ to get the H&K45 and the SigP365.  I'm very happy with my option B.  actually I'm pretty excited about my option B bc they are 2 firearms different than what I already have.  good to try something different now and then.

I've had a compact sw 9mm for decades (3913).
It's so old, the radioactive sights are already dim.
It's still very reliable.

But I had a chance to play with a 365 and I'm impressed.
That's what I would get today. It feels better than my old SW.

Anytime you ready to get rid of it, I'd like to take a look and buy.
I've wanted a 3913 from the 1980s or 90s.............  always saw them in gun magazines,
but never a real one.
That was the dream CCW pistol long ago.  Still does a good job.

I guess my will power is weak.  I gave in to temptation and also bought the Hellcat OSP and threw in the Hex Wasp RDS.
not sure how I'll like the Wasp RDS.  can't turn it off without removing the battery.  it stays on all the time, but it has 62,000 hours battery life in the lowest brightness level.  and brightness is auto-dimming depending on ambient lighting.  so we'll see how I like it
We'll see how they match up:  P365 vs Hellcat OSP   :geekdanc:

================
It's a great little gun for sure. It's extremely reliable and the trigger is heavy, as a serious house gun should be.
The sights are genuine Novak tritium sights.
My gun buddy in CA has one and he sent his to Novak for sights and an action job.
He said I should send mine to Novak to do the same. Apparently, they do a superb action job.

What, Me Worry?

Not weak!  Expanding and diversifying capabilities!

I love to do side-by-side comparisons.  Best way to answer the question of "which gun is best".     O0

Stang,

Wilson Combat just came out with a new grip module.
I ordered one today.
Sounds like it improves grip.

Grip module is only for the model with the manual, external safety.

Yeah, I'm forced to go to the pistol range side when this grip module arrives..........

I've been shooting 22LR BR rifles for the longest time and find it hard to get motivated to shoot pistol.
This grip will make me want to try it at Kokohead, although 25 yards is not ideal for this sort of pistol.
Might have to go to the gun range on Queen St. in Kakaako to try it at 5-7 yards...................

Stang,

My WC grip module for the SIG P365 arrived today.

Looks like WC put a lot of thought into improving the standard P365 grip, very well made.

Will install it tonight.

Shadow Systems CR920 is peaking my interest. They are super good as a company. The older design "butt barrels" might have a reliability issue. No major, but some guns using X ammo have it. The problem didnt show up in their testing.

So they will send u a new barrel (no butt) with return postage. They dont want u to send in the barrel or gun 1st cause they dont want u to be without a gun. So its an honor system return that u will sens back the butt barrel.

The WC grip is ergonomically better than the SIG grip.
However, the WC grip is substantially wider.

For sure, the WC grip feels better and will be more hand-fitted and comfortable when shooting.
However, the SIG grip is narrower and better for CCW.
