Did not fix it. They already have one from other guns..don't want to drive out there again..let alone wait in line...unless im supposed to have it correct.. 8)

I know!  I was thinking the same!  Didn't want to deal with the lines.

They had my permit with them that they got the spelling right first time around...but it would not surprise me that it was my writing! But if there unsure they should ask...I know I didn't add to extra A to my street name..

When they hand you the typed permit, they ask "check it to see if its correct"

I think at that point we're all so relieved to finally be done that we don't check well.

Yup!  Most people just wanna get outta there!  Kinda don't wanna rub the LEO's the wrong way and question them even though they are very respectful to everyone!

Drove by at around 5:40 am and saw just two people in line.  Seems like they moved or put new benches out in front along the walkway running along the outside of the building where the finger print counter is.

There at 10:30. Line 1 or 2 out the door. Took just over an hour. Not bad.

Upon leaving, line just outside the door ( actually wrapped around inside this time but would have been just outside the door. )

Lots of cool people in line and good conversation.  :shaka:

Last visit today. Got my new 38 super registerd finally. only 1hr 20 minutes this time.
A total of about 4 hrs standing in line to accomplish this over the three visits.
As usual the guys behind the bullet proof glass were great. The system needs a tune up.

I ALWAYS check papers before leaving.

Make them correct any mistakes and initial

Not their problem once you sign and leave with incorrect papers.

Right on, heard really good things about the RIAs.  Seems like the cartridge is making a comeback of sorts.  And I do agree, the process does need some tinkering with.

I was thinking of getting a couple of new handguns, but just got new brakes on the car, so that will have to wait.   :(

wow is all I have to say about the line today!!!

went the first time at 9:30am to pick up my permit and it were 4 people in line in front of me, took 5 mins to get thru the line because I guess every one was just picking up permits.

Went to go pick up my gun and came back to reg it at 10:30am and there was 1 person in front of me (took less then 1 mins for me to get to the front of the line...), after me there was no one in line for about 10 mins and then 2 or 3 people showed up, they got serviced in about 5 mins (permit pickups) and then another 20 mins with not a single person in line...  no line, at all.  There was actually a line forming for the outside glass window (idk what that line is for).  The person behind the glass keep calling because I guess he can't see around the doorway and there was just nobody there at all!  Total time wait for me today to get in and out for both permit and gun reg = 35 mins.  It took me longer to get to the police station fighting the freaken traffic (and I live less then 5 miles away!) then actually waiting!!!

I keep hearing there were super long lines and I was prepared with a fully charged phone (with extra battery) stocked full of games, a seat so that I didn't have to stand up for like 4-6 hours, and total wait time in line was less then 7 mins total!  Hell I even packed a lunch in my car but never got to eat it (I feel sorta cheated).

Webcams installed at DMVs. Hmmm... Would you want the same at HPD firearm registration?  I have very mixed feelings about it.
