I think the 2 week wait for handguns should only apply to your first. Why do I have to wait another 2 weeks to get another handgun when I already have one at home?

Because that would make it to easy to get one. They don't want to make it easy.

Yikes.  Sounds like a lot of people bought guns over the weekend.

Was a mix between rifle and pistol registration,
new rifle and pistol permit applications,
out of state handgun registration,
and folks back from last Friday that were denied entry to the double doors after 1500 hours...
we recognized each other as, "hey I saw you last week Friday at around three right!???"   :shake:
Awesome day - look forward to the brewskis tonight...
Kudos to the 2 or 3 officers behind the glass for their professionalism and patience.

Although the lines are really long, I've got to say that the officers working there, are really, really cool.  Not once, have I seen them talk down to someone, or disrespect them.  I actually feel bad for them,  considering how many people have been going through there.  What's funny is that I went today to pick up a permit, the the bolo head officer, already knew my last name.   Guess, I have been going there quite often.   :shaka:

Since it's a C&C thing, I would assume your City Councilman.  Maybe even the Mayor.

Id wait for the new mayor to take over, and organize a timed, planned effeort for a write in campaign.  Current mayor will not give two sh*ts about what you have to say in this matter.  And numbers are key,  we need the thousands of gun owners writing in, in a short period of time to have a solid impact.  Then, I would NOT suggest ANYTHING that commiefornia does.

I would suggest what Canada has done, which is abolish long gun registries. It is a waste of tax payers dollars, and serves no useful pupose, exept to have a list in the event that confiscations are mandated. You already have a permit to aquire, you have been vetted, and you waited your 2 weeks.  There is no real reason for them to look over your rifles and shotguns after you buy them.   They will not give up power easily.

I agree. Although cali has a good process, I rather see no registration at all, that would be a better process.
I'm down for this write in.

Got here this morning at 6:30 hoping to be first in line... Nope! #7. First guy got here at 5:45.
I'm waiting to see the line grow as today would be the 5th day for all the Black Friday buyers.

How do you wait in line that long and feed the meter, without losing your place in line?
