How do you wait in line that long and feed the meter, without losing your place in line?

You can end up unlucky like me and get a parking ticket for expired meter  :grrr:

I wonder if you can fight it?  The judge should throw it out since you must wait in line.

Id wait for the new mayor to take over, and organize a timed, planned effeort for a write in campaign.  Current mayor will not give two sh*ts about what you have to say in this matter.  And numbers are key,  we need the thousands of gun owners writing in, in a short period of time to have a solid impact.  Then, I would NOT suggest ANYTHING that commiefornia does.

I would suggest what Canada has done, which is abolish long gun registries. It is a waste of tax payers dollars, and serves no useful pupose, exept to have a list in the event that confiscations are mandated. You already have a permit to aquire, you have been vetted, and you waited your 2 weeks.  There is no real reason for them to look over your rifles and shotguns after you buy them.   They will not give up power easily.
Yeah, I forgot about the lame duck Mayor.  I was going to write contact my councilman about the Occupy people near my building.  Might as well get in their ear regarding registration.

It was my understanding that a bill/measure/whatever to repeal the magazine capacity was progressing and looking favorable prior to the incident in Colorado.  I'd have to go back and research, but it was wording to the effect of allowing magazine capacity as design/intended by the firearm manufacturer.  I hope that gets going again.

How do you wait in line that long and feed the meter, without losing your place in line?
I've been there where people just politely ask the person behind to hold their spot while they go feed the meter or get change from the snack shop across the way.  I would think that everyone would understand that because they may need to do the same.  Luckily, I've never had to go back to feed the meter.  In fact, I've left with over an hour on my meter many times.

I notice a lot of expired meters when I park in the HPD lot.  I know many who park in the C&C parking across the street.  Just bad luck that the meter reader was around.

I picked up a stripped lower to build a dedicated 22. Might go with taccom or Nordic upper, not sure yet. I should have enough spare parts to build the lower.

Btw, the parking meters across the street at the muni lot is free until 8:30. I made it back just in time.

Line out to the fourth pillar at 9:15.  Had a gentleman leaving and he said he got there at 6:45 and there was already 20 people waiting in line.

That's freaking insane!  The longest line I've been in was still inside that main lobby area.

Hopefully it's just people who went shopping over the long Thanksgiving weekend.  Things are starting to sound like a Sunday at Kokohead range.

Eh...paid it a long time ago.  I doubt I'd get any pity from a Hawaii judge.

Took 3 hours today to register my rifle. 10 am to 1 pm. Lucky I didn't get a parking ticket.

I've found the best option is to ask someone in line to hold your place. For people who drop coins...The new meters are a big scam because they reset when the car moves.  If you have time left, you're giving away money to the city.

Even before the mad rush on guns, the hours between 10am-2pm were always the worst.

You can pay the meters inside the building by CC and if that still is not good enough you can download the ParkMobile App and pay your parking meter via your smart phone.

Every time I had to add money to the meter people hold your place.  Because they will eventually need to do the same

Thats exactly how I learned about the park mobile app. After I got back from feeding the meter the guy behind me showed me how the app works. Pretty Kewl technology.
