Post the picture of the line from this article.  Our children and their children will talk about the lines we waited in.

My theory is that next week will be better as far as lines go.  Anyone who purchased a rifle/shotgun at the gun show would have had to register it last week.   Week after next gunshot pistol permits will be picked up and pistols registered so the lines will be longer....We'll see

So if I put in my permit last Friday I have to wait 16 days instead of 14?

When you applied for your permit, there should have been a written note by the application window stating which dates your permit would be available for pick up.

That sucks because they had the 29th posted for pickup...Just gotta wait till Monday I guess....

i wouldnt recommend it, but i have gone in late to register rifles.  One was 4 days i think. When they ask i let them know the lines were long and i tried my best.  They were just happy i was registering it.

Oh also i hope the lines not real long when i gotta pick up my pistol permit.

For you people that have waited in line recently, how long was your wait?

The line is longer now due to gun show purchases and will be longer next week when handgun waiting periods are over.  1-2 hours.

Are you saying that the wait now is 1-2 hours?  Or is it normally 1-2 hours, but it's longer now because of the gun show?  Please clarify.  I'm deciding if I should go tomorrow,  or wait a while.

Its currently 1-2 hours. If you want to get it over with early be at hpd by 530-6 AM and you'll be first in line or near the front when they open at 745.
