It's funny, but I've just been "lurking" in my own thread for awhile.  Stoked that the thread seems to be helping some.  Need to renew my long gun permit, so is the afternoon the best bet at standing in a short line?

It's always hit or miss.(like my time at the range)      Ive had the best luck going in the morning between 10-11, Tuesday-Thursday.

Don't go when I go cuz I got the shittiest luck when it comes to anything having to do with lines or waiting.  I'm not kidding. Jump in the car. Catch all red lights. Go hpd...wait 2-3 hrs when the other 4 days of the week people in and out in 1/2 hr.

Waiting in line for fast food... Someone that doesn't know what they want is staring at the menu.

Go foodland. Some person is writing a check and cannot find their ID

On and on and on.

I think the best bet is talking to Gene at OGC.  If he says they sold a crap load of stuff, then you know it's going to be a bad time.

Dot go Monday and Friday.  Between 9 and 1030 is usually a safe bet.

4/24/13 - Arrived at ~10:55am, 5 people in front of me.  Applied for a permit; left at ~11:15am with 4 people in line.
There is road work being done on Beretania and King near Thomas Square, traffic is a bit congested.

 Yup.  I was in line with teammidori  for 2 hours the last time I had to register a rifle.  Then another 15-20 min to have them type up my paper work. 

6 in front of me....haven't been here since Sept

I guess not, took a total of 30min to renew the permit.  Got there around 12ish and was gone my 12:35

Makes me sick!!!

I went there today at 1:40 PM to get a permit to acquire a long gun.   There were 7 in front of me.  Total time it took was 55 minutes.  Not too bad!

Funny, HPD say's how they will work to make it more efficient.. Guess they said it just to make people feel like they were actually going to do something.
