Has anyone recently registered their firearm online. Did it go smoothly?

Yes. To get the registration emailed to me took anywhere from a week to 30 days.

I registered two pistols from FFL recently.  Super easy.  Was emailed the registration a few days after submitting the info online.

I went with the option to pick up the permit in person.  HPD was not issuing the PTA on time back then.  Not sure if they are still backlogged.  For future registrations, I'll be doing it online.  Super easy.

yes, went smoothly.  as recently as about 2 months ago.  long gun registration seems to be a little bit more prompt than pistol, in my limited experience.  but sofar, HPD has come through each time, might've been a day or 2 late on 1 occasion.  except that one time when they had the spam folder snafu way back when, which was easily corrected with a phone call (very friendly & helpful).

No longer able to register private sales online.  Recently purchased two firearms, one sent to an FFL and the other was a private purchase.  Then received an email stating that I was able to reg the FFL firearm online, but the private sale had to be brought in for inspection.  No more private sale online reg.
