I despise Democrats, but have been a union member most my working life;
I hate unions.
Worst job I ever had was working for Democrats in a non-union job.
Democrats are the most tyrannical people I've ever dealt with.

And sometimes in some cases it's a "closed shop" meaning there is no choice but to join the union.

In my union there were many conservatives and moderates and we didn't participate in the union's political activism.   When we were apprentices we were forced to do sign waving for politicians that we did not care for.  We complained to the International and now the apprentices cannot be forced to sign wave for the corrupt pukes in this State.
