Hawaii did not choose him, Democrat party
and Democrat dominated unions did.
I was a member of the longshoreman union ILWU for a while.
I worked in the same facility as the local union district representative
and gained a lot of inside knowledge about the union.
A run of the mill dock worker makes well over $120,000
per year before overtime and various other fringe benefits.
Democrat political leaders will give them what ever they want
so who do they vote for?
All government unions are the same way.
As the Federal government just demonstrated, budget buster RINOs aren't any better
so why vote for them?
Solution
Don't obey the law.
Keep a lawyer on speed dial.
Strike against the government
wherever possible, in ways that don't
physically hurt anybody.
There is a thousand cheap ways to jamb the
system up so much it will fail.

For example on the BI there are two economic
systems; one cash based and the other The more traditional
pay your tax and obey the government system.
I always pay cash if I get a price break.
I'm sure that cash is not reported as income.
If I want a gun I don't ask permission, I go get it,
I have a legal residence in WA state.
If it is safe, I drive above the speed limit.
I pay my income tax once per year.
These are all civil infractions against the corrupt government
Nobody is physically assaulted.

Y'all think about this next time you beg HPD for permission to buy or
carry a gun,  the system makes a mistake,  and you are
ordered to surrender all your registered guns.

it is so nice to live on Green Acres....
Not sure if that is insult, but being a good Christian man, I'll take it as a complement.
I'm not a fan of cities. I took on significant monetary challenges to be independent
from government and have land and a "Hobby farm" as it were.
Do not get me wrong, I get social security. I have a Tbill coming to maturity next week, and part of my pension
is invested in Tbonds.
But I don't pay for a useless rail system that will never Break even, be it in Honolulu or California.
I don't pay for useless intermittent solar, wind, and the firebombs( present technology LIthum batteries)
they need to make them somewhat useful.
I listen to opera when I please,  lock the gates when I please.
And have guns as I please. No permits required.
Call that green acres as you want.

Anytime you submit to any authority,  outside a military
or religious environment,( both are voluntary BTW)
you are an idiot. In my book.

Survivor and Legislative Lead for the Hawaii Chapter of Mom’s Demand Action Ilima DeCosta joined HNN’s Sunrise Weekends to talk about the group’s Wear Orange campaign, which started 10 years ago after a fatal shooting of a 15 year old girl in Chicago.

Each year, advocates call for stronger gun laws through demonstrations and policy work.

Advocates cite these statistics in Hawaii: 67% of gun deaths are suicides and 22% are homicides. This is compared to 61% and 36% respectively, nationwide.

The rate of gun deaths in Hawaii increased 21% from 2009 to 2018, compared to an 18% increase over this same time period nationwide.

The presence of a firearm in domestic violence situations increases the risk of homicide for women by 500%. More than half of women killed by gun violence are killed by family members or intimate partners.

Over the ten-year period between 2008 and 2017, intimate partner homicides of women involving guns increased by 15 percent.

With a rate of 3.4 deaths per 100,000 people, Hawaii has one of the lowest rates of gun deaths and the third strongest set of gun safety laws.

WHo ever wrote this article is dumb. They are trying to make an argument that there is a high rate of "gun-related" deaths but in their closing sentence stated that HI has the lowest rates of gun deaths.

"but in their closing sentence stated that HI has the lowest rates of gun deaths."
That is because we don't have many African Americans here.
Not because of our gun laws!
Which we mostly ignore!

In 2020 Hawaii had 22% (7.89) homicides via firearm out of 19

Gov Green is a POS. He’s not well liked in the medical community for being an A-hole. He tried to get a flight crew in trouble because he thought they over flew Kona Airport. Of course he knows nothing about aviation.A Hole.

Dismissing the author of the article as dumb is a mistake. They intentionally manipulated, crafted, and presented the data to suit their agenda. They are not dumb, they are smart.

Mrs. CMO talked to the shuttle driver when Green was on Big Island and had covid. He looked like shit, but was still traveling and working.  I mean, maybe he tested neg so he thought he was fine to work.

I think the point is these people believe the lies and manipulations they push.  That's makes them ignorant and gullible at best -- evil at worst.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Everyone should watch the hearings and see 1st hand.  Even the AG's office does this, which I mentioned in each bills posting in the legal section. Bacially:

AG asked if they can defend a lawsuit and said yes (left out successfully defend).

AG asked to name the history and tradition as required by Bruen and AG said "what you're asking me to do is to litigate this bill".

AG asked in another hearing about Bruen and they said "Bruen is so new that no one knows how the courts will decide"

AG then states during this PC that they worked with Bruen in mind to make this "bulletproof".  Wait how did they do that when they were asked multiple times about Bruen and the reply was IDK.

Same with C&C corporate counsel. Augie asked them for history and tradition of each sensitive place and he was told "we will talk later in executive session". Fast forward to the next hearing and Augie stated no one got back to him about it.

This sounds like the same type of BS statistics used to proclaim that the greatest number of violence against women incidents occurrs on Super Bowl Sunday. I would not be surprised if the same leftist think tank generated this crap.

I think it is a shame that we have a medical doctor as a Governor or what ever and we have a shortage of medical personnel. According to media our ERs and first responders are overwhelmed. It is also very concerning that this Gov / Dr chooses death over life i.e. euthanasia and abortions. He is not genuinely concerned about the welfare or safety of us (unless there is a camera around) he is more concerned about appeasing the special interests that elevated him to this position of leadership. He is certainly not about empowering the citizens of Hawaii.
