Permit to Acquire and firearm registration line at HPD

Don’t know why the lines have been combined into the area with only one window.  At least on the other side, two officers were processing applications to acquire firearms.  Lines are long and slow and you have to wait in the long slow line for the one officer to process your request.  Even if you just want to register your firearm, which used to be a relatively quick process, you have to stand in the long line. What’s the reason?  Anyone know?

Part of the firearms unit has been reassigned to work on CCW applications. The permit-side of the station is currently being used for CCW applications and corrections only. In the meantime, permit applications and registrations are consolidated to the registration/record side of the office.

Doesn't matter why. That's just how it is
They are not interested in making the process more efficient
They want to make it slow and discourage us from getting firearms
It would be so easy to make it more efficient, but they don't want that

I agree.  We all know how Chief Logan feels about the Bruen decision so he's not gonna try to make it streamlined or any easier for the CCW process.

I feel this same attitude is being displayed at KHSC.  There is no push to get it 100% up and running.

Kick the can down the road.  If by some miracle we get closer, kick it harder.  Again and again.
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.
