Is  the new laws for long guns too?

Is for every thing. Looking forward to reading your testimony this legislative session.

I am sometimes unaware of all the bills that are being introduced (busy with work/family and dont check 2ahawaii) and I have a hard time reading and understanding the propsed bills because of the way its written. What helps me is when…

1. It is posted on 2ahawaii (even posting/advertising on multiple areas on 2ahawaii), FB, instagram, etc.
2. Someone who can break it down/explain so it makes sense what the proposed law/bills. (Layman’s terms) and how it will affect us.
3. A Link to the testimony webpage.
4. What to say/write.. ex “I suppot bill xxx because…” or “i do not support bill xxx because…”.

All gun owners are not equally passionate or knowledgeable about protecting their 2a rights. I believe having this info layed out before them, people will be more inclined to take time and submit testimonies.

I truly appreciate it when the above mentioned is done. Thank you

I think all of that is already done in the Legal & Activism forum.  Things are pretty hopping in there when it's the silly season.  Sometimes it overflows into the General Forum, but then it's redundant since that's the purpose of the Legal forum

Almost all of this is done. With exception

1) i only post to oppose or support the bill. Its best if people write their own why/reasons. Copy/paste testimonies get overlooked even more.

2) i do some what of a breakdown of the bills here and so does hifico social medias. But if u have more questions, just ask.

Keep on the look out as the legislative session starts soon. Its best to write ur own test, but if time is a factor, "oppose" button is better than nothing. This will take 30 seconds. So do it when taking a dump.

Also let friends know of due dates or ask 1 to remind u. I do this for about 4 people via text cause 3 of them dont have social media or come here. So coconut wireless.
