Aren't you required to say, "Excuse me while I whip this out," when drawing?

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

I don't like the appendix carry. Yes the concealment is pretty good but I think every other aspect is a negative.

Some people have to be much more aware of printing than others.  Other people don't have to worry due to their jobs protecting them.

Overweight people have a hard time with printing.

Almost all of the concealed carry videos out there feature skinny people.
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

Check out Active Self Protection. I mean, John's not super fat, but I would consider him fat.  He uses Enigma and something else, but I don't remember what else he uses.  He often post when he's going to a formal event (suit) that he's using his Enigma.

Not sure what you mean by 'a hard time.'

Not only can pretty much anyone carry without printing, you can probably carry a mid- to full-size pistol with no problem.

The key is in the choice of clothing and method of carry.  Case in point, a fanny pack won't print at all, will it?

Lots of people carry concealed using an OWB holster and an outer garment -- untucked shirt, swestshirt, sweater, vest, jacket, etc. -- to cover the holster.  Some even opt for shoulder holsters which work well under a suit jacket or windbreaker.

Not everyone dresses the same, so not everyone will find it as easy, or hard, to avoid printing.

But, in the context of appendix holsters, if you have a little more than a muffin top, i question the decision to put a firearm where you might have trouble clearing your belly ....

Yup. This is true. Thank goodness for fanny packs.

I watched maybe the first 10 mins. They make some good points, and also for specific context of what they see. I’ve taken a few CCW courses, a few specifically for AIWB. The classes I’ve been in maybe 10% can’t see their junk. Interesting was I a couple of classes a few of those were “professionals”.

One aspect I’ve seen is people can be quick to reholster. Try to show that they’ve BTDT. Like USPSA, they can get lulled into showing fast “unload and show clear”, and that puts some at risk for ND. Have seen it more than a few times in USPSA matches. One wise instructor said he quick to draw, but no need to he quick to put it away.

For one class, I used the LTT SCD. Not fool proof, but a layer of safety that doesn’t affect anything. I’ve seen taken classes without, but something to consider for Glock shooters.
