Wakai, Rhodes, and Elefante belong to the political class that Thomas Sowell refers to as The Anointed. Here's a Cliff's Notes version:
https://www.independent.org/publications/tir/article.asp?id=484You can't argue with them because they think they are advanced morally superior beings, and the one and only solution they have for everything is MOAR GUBBMINT. Yet if we don't figure out how to stop them they will follow Marxism all the way to its logical conclusion of starvation and mass murder.
How to stop them?
Unfortunately Sowell didn't go into that part beyond mentioning that they are sensitive to criticism. That actually makes a lot of sense because they are utopians, and what outlook could possibly be more fragile than the one that's not supposed to have any flaws? Interestingly enough there was a Civil Beat article last week about some bill that Rhodes was having trouble getting passed and then proclaimed "everyone hates it" like pouting child before calling it quits. Also have you noticed how he avoids us in the hallways, hides behind his face diaper, and averts his eyes during hearings? He's actually terrified of us, but when we try show respect and play on his level then he dominates us like a schoolyard bully. I think part of what damaged our cause most (besides the NRA scammers) was going along with this charade where we go in and beg for our rights, they chip off a little piece, and then we breathe a sigh of relief that it was only a relatively minor concession. After decades those concessions built up like compound interest to absurd levels that our ancestors would never have accepted. What they now call closing a "loophole" is actually the snare tightening around our necks, and by the time most of us start to think about pushing back more aggressively the whole thing will already be over.
I'm encouraged by the writings of Matthias Desmet who's been making the rounds with his Mass Formation theory. His remedy is simple. Stop playing the game and call out exactly what's going on. When you are brave and speak your truth it snaps others out of their trance, lets them know they are not alone, and encourages them to speak up as well. Soon a strong collective voice will rise up and a little brown stain will begin to form in Rhodes' man panties.
As far as testimony I follow the advice of Boris Epshteyn. "Color within the lines, but color boldly."
