Ruger PC Carbine Legal High Capacity Mag?

Does anyone make a high capacity magazine for the Ruger PC carbine that is Hawaii legal?  A magazine that won't fit in a 9mm handgun including large format pistols?

Next time your in the mainland, you could modify the mags to only fit the rifle.  Epoxy or solder something to the outside so it doesn't fit into a grip.

is that Hawaii legal?

Fairly certain the answer is “no,” unless you modify it to take no more than 10 rounds… and then what’s the point?

Kaneohe Gun Shop sells them . . . not blocked.

Reviews say it won't fit in a Glock 26, so probably won't fit into any pistol making it legal in Hawaii.

Could use it for fun.  I wouldn't use it for self-defense or competition though, might be unreliable.

Item description says “… our PMAG D-50 GL9 - PCC is a highly-reliable, 9x19mm Parabellum, 50-round drum magazine for many large-format pistols and pistol caliber carbines that feed from double-stack 9mm GLOCK® pattern magazines.” (Emphasis added)

If it won’t fit in a Glock 26, what kind of pistol WILL it fit in?  ???

That’s my point… if it won’t even fit into a subcompact, why would they describe it as being “for many large-format pistols… that feed from double-stack 9mm GLOCK® pattern magazines”?

Doesn’t it typically work that a magazine for a larger Glock will fit in a smaller Glock (like you can use a G17 mag in a G26).  If this mag won’t fit a G26, what pistol would it possibly fit in?

or you could just read what they wrote literally...

I am.  They call it a “magazine… for many-large format pistols.”  Can you name a pistol, large format or otherwise,  it will fit into?

Large format pistol is a pcc or ar pistol type. Full size pistol is like a g17.
This drum fits rifles like the ruger pcc. It won’t fit formats that take full size mags like a sub2000 or vector.

There's different versions of the drum magazine, where the magazine part is different lengths.  The PCC version won't fit a pistol, but the other longer variants will.

Got it.  As long as that magazine is not “designed for or capable of use with a pistol,” it’s Hawaii legal.
