I wouldn't be surprised Trump is nowhere on the ballot come November in the banana republik of Hawaii where the Aloha Spirit reigns over the US Constitution.

However what does surprise me is that the young people here actually are thinking instead of just blindly accepting the DNC doctrine which is probably why the state is not blue but showing pink.

Either way I'm sure the democrats will figure something out so the 4 electoral votes go to the old senile man occupying the White House.

I know some "not so young" (40-50 year old) long time Hawaii residents believing stuff like MSNBC Maddow reporting US economy, jobs, etc all "super rosey" in 2020-2024 timeframe.  One all the while he's gallivanting all over the world and collecting unemployment. . . wonder why he's such a fan of Biden. . .

2016-now has been a good learning XP for me. It taught me that facts/logic don't matter for certain things to a lot of people.

I've noticed that when someone is on the fence of voting for Trump or Biden, ask them questions to make them think.  I got 1 friend to change her vote due to this.

"Are you better today or in 2020 with regard to cost of goods?". Her reply was better in 2020.

With regard to illegals entering the country "did we have on average more today entering the US or from 16-20?" I then told her the monthly averages. She replied we were better 16-20.

Then I asked her "what changed from 2020-2024 that affects our nation?". She said the president.  That was her "ah-ha" moment.

I think we have changed as a society as far as how we generally think about things.

People don't think in terms of good or bad nowadays.

People only think in terms of "What's in it for me?"

Society has evolved into a mee mee society.  All about me.  Me and only me.

I think this mentality slithered down from our Nation's Capitol.

Facts?  Folks like the person(s) I mentioned above parrot just about anything on Twitter/X, Threads, etc without looking into things themselves.  And where's the twit that was sure of no such thing as media bias?

Saw this a lot as I became a manager/supervisor, and the drastic changes seen from say early 2000s, to 2012-2016, and now.  Definitely saw a lot of "what's in it for me".

I also think folks are just don't listen, only looking to state their position.
