A great story for the season from the late, great Rod Serling.

Merry Christmas!

Didn't want to raise other threads from the grave, so I'm adding to this one.

YouTube recommended this video of Emilia Clarke (Mother of Dragons from GOT) singing George Michael's Last Christmas.  A quick search found a movie of the same name starring Clarke came out in 2019.  The music video is a scene from the movie.  Skip the first 40 seconds of intro if not interested in that.

After watching the movie, I was thinking how the story was similar to Untamed Heart with the young actors Christian Slater and Marisa Tomei.  Both movies are set around the Christmas Holidays.

I watched Last Christmas for the first time this week on HBO MAX.  Then I rewatched Untamed Heart on one of the free with ads apps like PlutoTV or Tubi.

i definitely liked the Clarke movie, but i think so much more could have been added that was missing.  Also, I can think of at least 3-4 other movies this one might have borrowed from -- at least in some parts.  I may be biased since i've watched the Slater flick many times before, but that story seems more structured and less random than Last Christmas.

I think both qualify as Christmas movies that aren't directly about Christmas.  Both are now added to my Christmas watch list.

If you think Clarke looks cute in her elf costume, then you'll be glad to hear she's wearing that in so many scenes, I can't even think when she wasn't wearing it!  She works in a year-round Christmas store in London owned by a Chinese lady calling herself Santa.    :geekdanc:
