The author of the video mentioned the assumption that since both loads were from the same company that owned both brands it may translate to identical powder charges and other factors besides the bullet to establish a baseline.

I think it is ironic they are both designed to do the same thing by the same parent company yet be different in terms of performance. If there was a superior bullet I would expect the company to go with that bullet, not offer two different ones. If you don't consider that ironic that's fine.

These brands/types were not under the same ownership until 2024.

The ammo was developed and marketed long before the new parent company, CSG, acquired The Kinetic Group.  Gold Dot ammo was released in 1991, and HST ammo in 2002. 

I posted all the pertinent details already so you could educate yourself, but here you are spewing more nonsense.
