No funding available for the Hawaii Guard. If we did better at the regional, then we would have gotten some slots.

Is this a local competition or do you have to go mainland for that one?

This competition is held anually at Ft. Benning, GA. Each MACOM is invited to send competitors. Subordinate normally hold local or regional competition to select Soldiers to compete in the US Army Championships. USARPAC no longer holds marksmanship competitions.

USARPAC used to? Maybe we should try and get the ball rolling?

No time to do matches nowadays in the new army.  Need to do more important army stuff like golf tournaments.

Damn kinda late notice.  To bad USARPAC or Hawaii Army National Guard don't host competitions anymore to promote Esprit de corps and give a chance for local Active, National Guard, and Reserve to represent our units and represent Hawaii as well.

The Marines hold the PAV Divs every year. All service members are invited. It will be 2 weeks of classroom and shooting at Puuloa and K Bay. Night and Day.  1-15 Feb. Contact your G3 rep to participate. No funding for National Guard Soldiers to attend.

The National Guard hosts matches that are strictly for Guardsmen. Guard members are encouraged to join the Puuloa Rifle and Pistol Club for  precision marksmanship training and competitions to 600 yards. Most rather play airsoft at the spray and pray venues.
