L.A. Braces For Another Day Of Chaos: Newsom's Marxist Color Revolution vs Trump (Read 7516 times)

The U.S. president can deploy the National Guard during rebellion and unrest
as well as the threat of invasion. Typically, the president invokes the Insurrection
Act. However, there is a specific provision in Title 10 of the U.S. Code on Armed
Services that allows for the president to activate the National Guard. This clause
can be used when:

(1) the United States, or any of the Commonwealths or possessions, is invaded
or is in danger of invasion by a foreign nation;
(2) there is a rebellion or danger of a rebellion against the authority of the Government
of the United States
; or
(3) the President is unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United
States.
However, the provision also states that “orders for these purposes shall be issued
through the governors of the States.” In June 2025 U.S. Pres. Donald Trump cited
the provision when he ordered the deployment of some 2,000 National Guard members
to Los Angeles, where there were demonstrations against immigration raids. The legality
of the order was questioned since it did not come from California Governor Gavin Newsom,
who opposed the deployment.

I think the criterion "(2) there is a rebellion or danger of a rebellion against the authority of
the Government of the United States," says it all.

This is a rebellion against the federal government's authority to enforce immigration law.  There's no question about that when the protesters state their "protest' is in response to the President's "ICE raids".

When a protest stops being peaceful and becomes violent against police and agents, it's by definition a rebellion.

There's precedence for the President to activate the National Guard in instances where the governor refuses to respect the law or the responsibilities of his office to allow law enforcement to do their jobs.

Quote
SEPTEMBER 10, 1963 -- President John F. Kennedy federalized the 17,000
member Alabama National Guard to allow black students to attend nine
previously all-white schools in Birmingham and across the state.

"Governor Wallace has refused to respect either the law or the authority of local
officials. For his own personal and political reasons -- so that he may later charge
Federal interference -- he is desperately anxious to have the Federal Government
intervene in a situation in which we have no desire to intervene," Kennedy stated.

Wallace, trying to avoid being served with a restraining order forcing integration of
Mobile schools, fled the state capitol, flanked by state troopers, shortly after 1:30
that morning.

Similarly, local law enforcement has a duty to keep the peace.  If the Governor fails to deploy NG personnel to assist law enforcement when it's obviously necessary, then the President doesn't need the Governor's cooperation to activate the state's NG members.

Just my opinion, but this is not the first time something like this has happened.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.

Excellent info - and really great that you brought up Alabama - it's actually a perfect analog to Newscum and CA.  Wallace & Newscum are the same kind of animal: The former pissed on the constitutional rights of black Americans in Alabama to promote racism, while the latter is pissing on the constitutional rights of all Americans in California, also to promote racism.

BOTH ARE DEMOCRATS!!!!!!

Are these people taking off from work to wreak havoc or are they simply unemployed and living on the government's dime?

My guess is they're unemployed.  And a bunch of lookey-loos.

There's a video of the rioters waving Mexican Flags and burning the US Flag.

Madness.

Newscum is a whole new breed of a$$h*le.  Those asshats on the streets burning LE vehicles and causing mayhem are the ones that's gonna vote for him in 2028.

Are these people taking off from work to wreak havoc or are they simply unemployed and living on the government's dime?

Rumors are spreading that they many of them have literally been bussed in.

Also mysterious palates of bricks and cinderblocks are appearing in places where riots are about to take place.

The whole thing seems to be sponsored by a creepy billionaire with ties to the CCP

Hawaii's Josh Green issued a statement saying:

"President Trump's move to deploy California's National Guard is an alarming abuse of power."

They feel the National Guard should only be activated when called for by a state's governor. And they are not alone.

I like how CNN phrases it like this is the first time the national guard was called up over the objections of a governor.

Also complaining about the cost of stopping riots shows they're reaching for an excuse.

Crazy waters stated that the protest are peaceful and there's nothing illegal going on.  I get why she stated this. 1 is to lie, the other is she was at most taken to a safer area of the protest and not in the $hitstorm area.

It's not like social media showing vids is a thing at all now days. Shame on her aids for not bringing this up. Corruption just to make orangeman look bad.

...And the party of Satan steps in to remind 77,301,273 Americans why they voted for Trump, kicking off Vice President JD Vance's election campaign, about 2 years early.

The fake news is blaming Trump for sending in the NG and it's making the "protestors" violent.

They're just parroting what Newsom said.

That's like saying having armed guards at a bank incites more bank robberies.

I think I've seen all i need to.  Oh, sweet meteor of death, come take me now!

An ABC7-LA reporter actually said:

"if you move law enforcement in there in the wrong way and turn
what is just a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn
into a massive confrontation or altercation between officers and
demonstrators."

Cars burn on their own now, i guess?
