Yep, always try to save that brass (you paid for it and it still has worth and use).  The neck gets totally chopped off for 300 so the dent is immaterial.

If you run them through a decapping die then sizing die carefully those dents should iron out

Do they make a port buffer for that Sig?

My CETME chewed up the brass, too, until I put one on it. It still throws the brass a half mile but its not as dinged up.

Sumthin' like this: http://www.robertrtg.com/pofport_carry.html (center photo). Snaps on over the top of the rifle and creates a wider, softer surface for the brass to slap off of.

edit: I didn't turn up anything for the 556 in a quick search except this thread. Last post is the possible "solution." http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=6&f=45&t=339040

Seems to me that someone HAS to have made a port buffer for this.

edit2: That brass can still be reloaded. Sizing the case, even just neck sizing, reforms the case mouth. In really bad cases you might use a Lee .223 hand decapping pin to help re-round the inside of the case mouth first.

not that i know of.  most everyone i've seen that's complained about the brass just put a patch of velcro or something else soft, and left it at that, just like that last link.  since i dont reload, its never been a concern to me.

nope
no one makes something like that
although the aftermarket is starting to make things for the sig 556 now, so maybe a year or two in the future

yeah, there's a guy on the sig forums who runs Manticore Arms, they make a lot of after market stuff.  for now, they just have extended safety levers, improved grips, extended mag releases and the like, but they're always developing new things, i wouldnt be surprised if something like that is in the works.

My old HK91 would whack a huge crescent shaped dent in the case side until I put the HK pad on it.  Similar to your CETME but without the handle.  It stopped the side of the case being ripped up, but the striations from the chamber were still there.

My buddy has the old rifle now, dunno if he tries to reload or not.  Last I heard, he shoots a lot of Berdan primer surplus stuff and does not care..........

Fortunately my reloading laziness over the past few years paid off.  I'd just keep buying components on sale thinking I'd reload the next month, for the past 3 years.  So now I have about 2 years worth of components to reload

Was reloading 5.56 today.  Necksized about 300 cases.  Then realized I was supposed to have full-sized.  Threw one into the chamber and yep got stuck.  Started over again.

Yup.  Had my AR do that to a few pieces of brass.  Spray on a little lube and run it though a full-length sizing die and you're good!

Don't HK91' and CETME's have a fluted chamber that ruins brass anyway
