The Original Ghost Gun

Pretty lengthy article.

But one sentence stood out:  It is unclear if an investigation, if any, HPD did into the origins of the weapon.

My bet is they neva do notting.

Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

They focus on the guns because they want to disarm us

Never mind the fact that people are going criminally insane at alarming rates

Their investigation consisted of:

'No see no serial numbahs.  Dude's dead, so can't ask 'em.  Hey!  Anybody gonna eat this last malasada?"

It would be nice to see some statistics on the weapons used in local shootings/crimes.  Im guessing 1% are with legally acquired guns.

Something tells me a good portion of "gun crimes' include robberies and muggings with replicas -- toys, airsoft, etc. -- guns you don't need to jump through government hoops to acquire.

it makes sense, being that Hawaii has for so long rejected firearms for self defense and defense of others and property.  Little risk a fake gun will be viewed as real by someone carrying.

That dynamic started changing a couple years ago and will continue changing as the legal impediments to carrying in certain places get shot down in court.
