Homophobe!   :-*

I now realize that your “emotional woman” insult didn’t come from your own insecurities, but you are using the “panican” attack from Trump’s playbook (which didn’t work btw and he ended up dropping it).

Not particularly original, but it does raise a great point.

For years we were told by the Fudds to never question the NRA because they were our first, last, and only line of defense when in reality they were selling us out when whole time and handing over massive concessions to the gun grabbers in a cynical plot to always have an emergency handy that would keep the donations flowing.

NY busting up their corruption was supposed to be the death of gun rights, but in the years since our local orgs have been stacking up victories that were previously unimaginable.

My point is that its a mistake to think politicians as leaders. They are people who volunteer to let us squeeze their nuts until we get the results that we can live with. If we are not squeezing hard enough they tend to lose focus, get wined and dined by industry, and ultimately sell us out to the highest bidder.
I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.

So why can't the DOJ just release the files?  WHy is a senate/house vote needed?

1. Biden administration had 4 years to mess with the documents
2. It will compromise ongoing intelligence operations
3. Our nation is a death cult run by satanic pedophiles

Supposedly the files included sensitive information that required legislative approval for release.

I assume that means names of victims, victim statements on what was done to them, etc.

"The more significant issue now is how a congressional disclosure order
interacts with victim-privacy rules, investigative protections, and long-standing
federal record-release laws."

Then there's the flip-flopping Trump has been doing saying, "The list is on my desk," to "There is no list."  This vote takes the decision out of Trump's hands.

The vote could have been held a month or so sooner had the government not been shutdown, or so the House claims.

Anyway, the number of votes for the bill are sufficient to override a veto, so naturally Trump says he plans to sign it.

There's already a conspiracy being started by Epstein's brother that the shutdown gave the administration time to cleanse the information of any high ranking Republicans.  There's already accusations before this that Trump broke his promise to release them in order to protect billionaires and other powerful individuals mentioned in the files.

It'll get bumpier from here on out.  Better hang on tight!

To clarify, this is in reference to the Epstein files.

I guess he is.  Maybe he doesn't want to but he has to, when you take into consideration the big picture.

Which is why the feud between him and MTG lately has him calling her a "lightweight", which I take as not being able to play 5D chess.

This is one of the things I personally dislike about our President.  I dislike him when he immediately labels people who go against his agenda.  People stoop low when they do this to him, why does he have to go down to their level?

Anyway our President should never underestimate the American people.  When someone like him who we respect as a leader campaigns on a promise, he needs to follow through.

This Epstein crap is really beginning to be bad optics for him.

His recent feud with MTG only makes it worse.
Very well said!

He was clearly trying to minimize political / social fallout for other players who either just tainted, or completely destroyed themselves, in Epstein’s pit of sin - like perennial Democrat apparatchik Larry Summers! Ha ha

Many of the same filth to now follow.

None of it was going to take him down, but the base is obsessed with it, and he finally had the sense to just step aside - and let congress do the dirty work of releasing it - I.e. “guys I tried to let this salacious shit you’re covered in just die in the dark for you, but they went around me - too bad”

Totally agree - attacking those who are a problem for him on our side is stupid - guess he can’t turn that off so easily …

There are zero national security issues in this heap of crap, the Mosad will have left no finger prints if they were there anyway, only a new crop of Harvey Weinsteins for the

it's been posited that the reason for Trump slow-walking the release of the Epstein files might be that he's waiting until closer to midterm elections.

If the files are bad for the Democrats, the closer to the election, the better for the GOP.

It's just another theory -- one of many.

Yep it’s totally plausible with this guy - one thing’s for sure - he knows how to play hardball, and the Dems are apoplectic since, by trying everything in their power to destroy him, they actually got him reelected!

…. and it’s all been downhill from there.

It's funny how someone here was calling out people and saying Trump is their King and things like that. But here we are all asking for the truth and even possible Trump hiding stuff.  That sure doesn't sound like blind followers as 1 person here thinks.

We are all, by definition, anti-followers.

The true collectivist followers who are born in this country all end up compulsively gravitating to the Dem Animal Farm, like bits of iron to a magnet.

We are all our own men, united by a set of values and a spirit of liberty - and a deep sense of personal accountability that is generally characterized as “personal honor” - which many of us realize ultimately comes from our creator.

That is the only one we follow.

Sad to see MTG go, but it's good that she's calling attention to Trump's susceptibility to foreign influence.

I used to be able to count the politicians in Washington that I like on one hand, but now that hand is starting to resemble a mid-level Yakuza who keeps losing shipments.

Please, somebody explain to me why our President always denounces anyone who goes against him and calls them childish and demeaning names.  Marjorie Traitor Brown.  Horrible, coming from the POTUS.

Green on the other hand, has refrained from doing the same.

Pretty sad.  Green stood post and held the front line for President Trump and never wavered.

First, ask yourself if there's any rationale that would make that behavior justified in your mind.

Secondly, ask whether there's anything anyone can do or say to change that behavior?

If the answers are both "no," then why bother asking?  Like a wise man once said, "It is what it is."

p.s. I think the word "denigrates" would be more apropos, not "denounces."  If he criticized their policy positions or other actions, that would be denouncing.  Denigrating is more personal and is an attack on the character or reputation of someone -- to defame them.  It's a fine line, but it matters when talking about our government leaders' behavior in public.
