Heco reporting widespread outages on Super Bowl Sunday thanks to the storm. Who’s ready to watch the game anyway?

HECO map looks way more interesting than usual

They just sent out a message to conserve water as well. That probably deserves its own post.

The map sure shows a lot of outages.  Pretty strange for me.  I live Mililani Mauka and it's just a typical wet day.  Nomo even wind.  Only overcast skies and wetness.  Nomo even rain.

So how da hell the map shows so much outages.  You would think had hurricane.

Mililani Mauka must exist in it's own bubble.

That's tropical weather for ya. Looks like the current precipitation is mountain effect mostly on the areas around the Ko'ololaus.

The next batch moving up from the south looks pretty severe for overnight and tomorrow. Lots of wind and heavy pockets of rain.

I'm going to plug in the backup battery and make sure it's topped off off just in case.

Great day to test the setup. HECO saying that some customers might have to wait until tomorrow to get restored.

I got a 17v power inverter for the 75kw battery in my Tesla.  Can draw up to 200w for a while.
