I’d like to know this as well. Only want to know if it will be open on Friday the 3rd. As most businesses are closed on the 3rd due to observation of the 4th.

Does the range have set hours?

How about holidays.  As designated and under Parks and Recreation, the range should be open on holidays.

It was before.

I think the holiday schedule is posted in the window just above the sign-in book at the range.  Hopefully someone will check tomorrow and report back

...
The city is trying to make it like how it was before. Ie.open on holidays. The new operating hours makes a lot of sense and a many people seem to like it, including myself. Now I can go shoot and get home early so I can pop open a cold beverage and discuss world events with the dawgs.

I did some probing on why the range hours are different than before.  I ended up in a quagmire of BS that the City and County gave for their reasons.

Budget, the "lead poisoning", highly skilled employees needed, more legal restrictions "implemented" after that alleged "lead poisoning", and some legal BS as to the govt. is not required to make sure that citizens have ALL the options to exercise their 2nd amendment rights.

Never mind the common sense fact that most citizens work on weekdays and weekends and that holidays are their rare opportunity to exercise their 2nd amendment rights.

Of course when I inquired if the Bruen decision had anything to do with these changes I was met with silence.  And of course a referral back to the above "reasons".

.....
Clarifying....
The range hours only changed in the last few weeks to eliminate being stuck in the afternoon rush hour traffic.
It works out nicely.
Prior to that, the hours never changed in at least 50 years.
I've been shooting there since 1978.
Here are the new hours FYI....
MO, TUE  -CLOSED
WED, THU, FRI- 10 TO 2PM
SAT, SUN- 8 TO 4PM
Notes:
Last shot is 20 minutes before closing.
The range should be open on most holidays except Xmas and NY. This is how it was pre-covid.
