CMP to sell surplus M14 rifles

They will be selling a limited supply of military M14 rifles that have been permanently modified to be semi-auto only later this year.  I imagine they'll go for a few thousand dollars each.

That is awesome!  Full original USGI matching bolt, Op rod & trigger group in good condition? - yes you are right, those will go for a few thousands, ... and will go fast!

Mark Smith touched up on this helping the Scotus awb case.   These were machine guns converted to semi and actually used in the war.   Now they're being sold to civilians with government approval.

This has been a long time in the making as it was attempted before but past administrations didn't want it released to the public as they were built as select fire weapons.  I think there are some in public hands prior to 1986, some still select fire and some converted to semi.
