Which local shop best for revolvers?  I'm looking to buy my first revolver and I would love to be able to look at some Rugers and Smiths side by side.  I think young guns has a few Smiths, does anyone know of a shop that has a good revolver selection?

If anyone reading this wants to sell one lmk.  Looking for 3-6" barrels only

Just find the shop with the cheapest Ruger GP100 in .357mag. You'll be able to shoot three different calibers for the price of one revolver.

GP100 is considered one of the best entry level revolvers, if not one of the best revolvers in general, so might as well start of good.

Check out Security Equipment Corp., they usually have a selection of Rugers, S&Ws and Colts. I usually drop in to check out the good stuff, used S & W revolvers on consignment.

If you've narrowed your preference down to a couple of models, I recommend doing research online for availability and pricing. Don't forget to add local FFL fees and shipping costs. You may also need to tack on a credit card fee of 3% or more, whereas you can pay with cash locally and save that fee. Take your results to a few local gun shops and ask if they can beat or at least match your best deal.

Spending a few more bucks locally might be worth it if you run into problems -- no need to pay for return shipping. Then factor in the support you're giving to a Hawaii business.

Yep I plan to buy local - I feel so damn guilty everytime I do a transfer lol.  BNR's online price was only 100 off the lowest online price I could find so buy the time you add the shipping, transfer fees  and guilt I'd rather just go straight to the LGS..  Gonna walk in with a wad of cash and see if they will take a few bucks off
