Michigan teen gets punished for self-defense shooting (Read 69 times)

A 19 year old got a 2 year probation sentance for carrying a gun without a permit when he used his pistol for self-defense at a Michigan Mall.  There was a fight between two groups and the assailant shot and killed one person and injured another before getting taken down.

Don't think the judge is at fault, he handed out a light sentence and acknowledge the self-defense.  It's the prosecutors fault for charging him.  In Hawaii we have the Roache vs Lopez ongoing lawsuit for 18-20 year olds to own guns that was lost and will be appealed.  After that gets settled at SCOTUS in a few years, CCW is next.
