Last year, you showed up to support a diverse, islandwide leadership team where Andria Tupola supported Chair Tommy Waters to become Vice Chair of the City Council. Together, they've worked hard to do the people's work.

Sadly, Councilwoman Tupola as well as the voters of East Honolulu, who are still waiting for the outcome of their own City Council election have been betrayed. Civil Beat, Hawaii News Now, KITV and the Star-all reported on a secret October 5 meeting of five City Council members at Zippy’s in Waipahu, in violation of the Sunshine Law.

Resolution 26-247, introduced by Dos Santos-Tam, names him chair. It's scheduled for the full Council meeting this Thursday, November 5. Never in recent memory has the Council reorganized while the elections of two City Council members stay outstanding, leaving those voters with no voice.

WTF is wrong with you.  Never thought you would do this kind of shit.

I strongly urge everyone here to take just a couple of minutes to use the link and submit written testimony!

A couple of examples of Dos Santos-Tam's "representation" of his constituents:

He introduced a bill to direct the city's attorneys to hire lawyers from Everytown for Gun Control to sue Glock over the "Glock switch" witch-hunt, which thankfully the Mayor vetoed, citing the existing national litigation already in motion at the time.

The bill was simply a fraudulent method to funnel our tax dollars to this heinous gun control group to fund them - that is all.  Pure corruption coming from the hard left into our community, courtesy of Dos Santos-Tam.

He pushed all the way to the end with the fraudulent "Empty-Homes Tax" - which even the city opposed - because it is what other hard leftists want: government control over private property.  He persisted even after constituents like myself sent published studies from where it was inflicted (Vancouver) that clearly showed it did NOTHING to reduce the cost of housing there - but it did flood the tax coffers.

He never bothered to counter the information, nor make an argument for the vicious bill - because that is not what he is about:  Dos Santos-Tam is nothing but a political apparatchik for the hard left whose job it is to inflict as much of their destructive agenda on the people as fast as possible.  He is a traitor to his office.

So please, put a slug or two into this, his latest atrocity against the people here.

It is the worst example of "in your face" backroom political corruption, and by its very introduction is a big black eye - that all can clearly see - on all those council members who are on board with it.

What a way to wantonly destroy the City Council's credibility."
