Does KHSC have a valid reason for not allowing 'rapid fire'...or more then five rounds?
Many people can't control rapid fire and with a trail nearby.............

As for 5 rounds, you got me.

One reason for 5 rounds is the fact that some people should not be working on their own firearms.  I've seen a couple of rifles fire bursts due to issues with their firearms.  Sometimes it's from guys doing their own work to lighten trigger pull, some times it's a genuine mechanical break down.

Figuring some people cannot even control the firearm when they are prepared and even a skilled person won't have the reaction time when they aren't prepared means you could have a runaway.

That being said, it would probably only be a couple of rounds and without sufficient resistance from a properly shouldered firearm, it would probably jam.

was there first thing this morning
rapid fire ok
i guess they still have free range fees on sunday, but i did go with a member, so i don't know if that made a difference
9mm was 18.40 a box with the member discount (on second thought, maybe it was 18.40 before discount)
i'll have to check with my friend at the super bowl party and confirm the proces

Honolulu Firearms and Range, formerly Magnum Firearms. A couple blocks down from the main police station and around the corner from Sports Authority.

Per NRA and CMP rules, rapidfire is 5 rounds in 10 seconds at the 25 yardline shooting one-handed for Bullseye Pistol.

For High Power Rifle, it is 10 rounds (2 magazines loaded with 2/8 or 5/5), sitting position, iron sights, 200yards, 60 seconds. At 300yards you get 70 seconds in the prone position.

Much of Koko Head rules were modeled from NRA and CMP style shooting

They allowed us to shoot both buck and slug, but that was during a class, so not sure what their policy is during typical open range time.

Yes, they're ok with all shotgun ammo.

Bird, buck & slug
