One more question. I've used the Tru-oil, applying with finger and/or small piece of folded cheesecloth... I found both worked "okay". Wondering what method of application you used... I'm thinking maybe there's a better way to do it.  :shaka:

I did one coat with my finger to get a better sense for how evenly it was soaking in, if there were rough/dry areas, etc. However, I thought I got a smoother coat from just a cut up piece of old tshirt and wouldn't bother with my finger except maybe for the first coat. Only apply a little at a time, work in a small area, rub it in really good, and move on to the next area. After it dried, I used 0000 steel wool. Just some light passes and wipe it clean.

Getting it clean is the most important I think. I used citristrip first, but in the future will probably get stronger stripper. I tried krudkutter as a degreaser. It didn't pull much out, but the citristrip might have already done the job. I went over it with an iron and wet cloth, but that didn't seem to do much. There weren't any dents-I was trying to pull it any stain. After that, sanded with 220 then 400 grit until it was all very smooth. I didn't have any gouges or cracks to fill, so I just did a dry sand. It seemed good enough and after washing/drying, I used the truoil.

Just pick a Remington M887 from a friend that he can't take it with him to the mainland. Less than 100 rounds. I gave the deal to my other friend first and he unable to register due to a record. So I took the deal. He gave it to me for $25.00. Yes that correct $25.00

M1 Garand Special Grade LNIB. I couldn't pass this one up. It was the last on the rack. Completely rebuilt and refinished with new wood and new barrel.

Mike from Cross Creek Guns emailed me yesterday; he said he expects to ship my VP9 to my FFL tomorrow. I can't imagine that there's a long waitlist for the 10rd version, so yours should be available soon.

Peltor Tactical Sport with upgraded gel cups. The cups are really soft and seals great. The hole is also wider for those with big ears.
