I wish that these people would just admit that they know nothing about guns, even less about the people who own them and that they don't know a damn thing about violence in the US.  That would at least be a start and we could focus on real solutions to violence.

  I find unbelievable that a person, w hois claiming to know enough about firearms that he can say with a straight face that the modern firearm is unequivocally THE absolute source of all violence in the US, actually knows less than the average gun owner.  This is a person who has an entire room of assistants who do nothing but research topics for him and commitees at his disposal that are dedicated to finding reasons that justify any conclusion that the White House sees fit and this is the best he can do?  Everything he said in that statement is wrong. He was tasked to become knowledgeable about firearms arms enough to try fool the entire country that banning it will solve all its problems.  All he did was make a country fearful of law abiding gun owners who would be more likely to save a life than take it.     His paycheck is a waste of US dollars.  Dare we hope that not all anti gun people are not that ignorant?  Just embarrising, sad and aggravating.

Sad thing about this whole thing is that they have no need to become knowledgeable about a thing.  They care not to make a REAL argument against the ownership of firearms, a topic that is un winnable.  All they have to do is lie, and keep on lying, until the no information public believes what they are spouting.  They have been doing just that, time and time again, outrage after outrage, ZERO accountability for anything.

Doesn't all this nonsense remind anyone about the time AIDS first came out. 1st you had to be gay to get it. Then parents took kids out of school because their kids went to the same school as Ryan White, the kid who got AIDS from a blood transfusion. Then you could get it by touching things a person with AIDS touched. I remember the govenment made a big push to educate the public about the facts about AIDS. Now everyone knows everything about AIDS and how it spreads. Second Ammendment issues have been around for the better part of a century and in that time the government has pushed fear and propoganda to the point where no one talks about gun safety and education. They only talk about how dangerous they are period.
