Some what scary.  Why would they need targets of pregant women and young children and old men?  When have they ever been a target other then during the Nazi's concentration camps and other mass genocides?

If DHS wants to be prepared for some kind of civilian uprising such training makes a degree of sense.

It would be nice if DHS explained why they are (or seem to be) preparing for the possibility of a civilian uprising but I doubt we'll get that explanation.

American's don't have any terribly bad things about which to rise up. We all\ grumble about any number of things but we aren't anywhere near civil unrest. Makes me wonder what the DHS sees that we don't.

These targets serve a good training purpose.  Most people just don't train for that mindset.  If you were working domestic violence calls or active shooter scenarios - I can see where they are very beneficial.
People don't like it because it's not "PC" but most training isn't anyways.

I think the targets in themselves are no big deal.  if youre in LE, you need to be ready for anything.

I can see the need to train to shoot that little kid with no hesitation. What's the chances a little boy playing outside will have a toy gun. Most likely he's gonna have a semi automatic assault pistol with a high capacity clip.

even someone which was a navy seal or other special forces would have a hard time going against 20-30 guys by himself.  Espeically with 10 round mags...

Some times you gotta just accept your fked and give up.  I wouldn't fight back cuz I know they would just gun you down if you even tried anything. 

BTW:  Everyone on this board pretty much lives on a small island in the middle of the ocean (aka in the middle of freaking no where!), where in the hell are you gonna run to?  Lets say you go rambo and take out every single cop on the island, you then gotta deal with one the biggest military force in the world which is based in Hawaii!!!  Bottom line, just give up; you got no chance!
