you can just run it as a credit transaction.  a lot of places online you can run a debit instead of a credit card, no pin.

absolutely, but a debit card run as credit costs tje vendor the same as a standard credit card.  Swiped and pin pad entry debit is actually VERY inexpensive to the vendor.  .75/transaction in many cases rather than 2-4.1% for cc.
