So what do you think about the PX4?  I have a springfield xd, but something about the px4 was calling me and I'm thinking about trading/selling my xd40 service model to get the px4.  What are your thoughts?

I like it, feels good in my hand and the recoil isn't an issue. The rotating barrel helps a bit with dispersing the felt recoil. I haven't shot an xd40 so I can't telling you anything about the px4 against it but if we're at the range at the same time then I'll let you shoot a mag if you let me shoot a mag of your xd40

That would be cool, but I'm over here on the Big Island.   How accurate would you say the px4 is?  I noticed that right out of the box, the XD40 shoots quite a bit to the right, and I've been reading a lot of reviews where that's the case, but seems easy enough to adjust the sight for drifting.

IMHO it shoots straight right out the box, I haven't done anything to the sights as of yet.

During the first month I thought that it was shooting a bit to the left but after working on my grip and stance it started shooting where I wanted it to 

Grip and stance makes a fricken world of a difference lol I was amazed.

I would guess you'd get a velocity out of that barrel of around 1600 f/s.

Seems to me there are better ways to push a 123gr pill to that velocity, for about 700 ft-lbs.

A .357 Mag will give about 800 ft-lbs, more or less, with a 125gr bullet.

No offense, but...  when you chronograph it, let me know.
