Something old and something new (relatively) mix…

My old match rifle; going to keep it in the M-14 “look” since this dinosaur is retired from competitive shooting. I may try bedding it at some point ;)

My “TactiCool” .22LR, super fun plinker

And finally a little AK fun...

Noveske I've had for awhile. Chainsaw lower with Colt LPK and Vltor A5 receiver extension.

Upper is a Noveske factory assembled "skinny", 14.5" barrel with mid-length gas system, pinned Battle Comp and chopped FSB so I could put the 13" Troy Alpha rail over it.

Shoots really soft with the mid length gas and A5 buffer system.

I recently traded into the Trijicon TR24R, and probably need a mount that gives some more eye relief for nose to charging handle shooting.

Looks good. For more eye relief you can move the mount forward. I did the same thing with my TR24G and LT104. Or trade out the current mount for the LT139.

Nice build!  Do you find the Troy rail getting too hot after shooting for a long period of time?

I would move the mount forward, but i don't want half of it on the receiver and half on the rail. I guess this is a "first world problem."
I'm going to sell the LT104 and look for a used bobro extended mount.

It gets hot above the gas block, especially after shooting fast (think a couple mags worth of 1-5 drills done in a few minutes)
For plinking, games and hunting, its fine.
For the speed that one would normally shoot off the bench at kokohead, it's fine.

Here is an old G19 I kinda miss.
