you should try some talon grips

Is there a distinct advantage to stippling?
I've had a full wrap of 3M grip tape on production guns before, and didn't care for the added bulk.

Better grip especially when wet, muddy, etc.

It converts the focused high-output beam to a softly diffused wide-angle beam for close-up operations. I use it because it will be used strictly for HD in close quarters. It just slips over the cover of the light, so it comes off very easy.

Liking it, bruddah Bunker... liking it!!

Could you do me a favor and measure OAL with stock collapsed?

I have a Hogue 12" LOP due to arrive tomorrow, and had briefly considered the Mesa stock before pulling the trigger on the Hogue 12".

Also, if you don't mind me asking, how heavy is it decked-out in the After picture?

Finally, from your post, it sounds like the Mossy is purposed for HD duties... what are your thoughts on the sling?

 :shaka:

The stock in its fully collapsed position is 10 3/8”. I don’t have a good scale but I would guess the weight is somewhere around 9 Lbs. I’m a fairly big guy, so the weight isn’t a problem for me but may be for a small guy. However, considering the weight factor, I wanted to outfit it with a good two-point sling. Also, the 590A1 has a heavy-duty barrel to boot.

As for the sling, I like the two-point for this application and the Specter Gear is very comfortable and a good quality sling. I can transition to my sidearm fast. The transition release buckle is of good quality and extending or removing the slack is a nice, smooth action. The webbing is real strong and durable, and it has a nice quick release. I also have Gear Sector and Vickers slings, which are also good slings.
