Im sorry... this is only on the federal level.  I guess Hawaii could still enact their own.  My post might be misleading.

I agree. Is it still possible that further amendments could be added to SB 69?

yes, in conference committee, bills can be modified without public comment
conference committees are supposed to form an agreement between the house and senate bills, but is basically a free-for-all if they choose to exercise their power
you could even change a bill to read something completely different, if they were willing to face the wrath of the electorate

I agree. Is it still possible that further amendments could be added to SB 69?

Ill be less concerned when it loses its chance of becoming an amendment, slim chance but still a chance none the less...now we gotta wait and see about the magazine ban... or should I say "clips"

Still have to fight at the Fed level too.  They (Biden/Bloomberg) are not going away quietly.  Still calling out Congress to act.  Shaming them for not acting.  Watch your 6!
It is what it is.

This is just the begining, 2014 is where we need to be watching.

Obama knew this was going to be an uphill fight, but all of this is just a prelude to what is yet to come.

The budget talks failed because he (Obama) let it fail. Sequestration kicked in because that is what he wanted.

He wants to pin it on the GOP so they will take a hit at the '14 elections.

His end game is to squash the GOP take control of the House, and retain control of the Senate.

If he succeeds, he will still have two years left in his term, to do what he could not do in his previous six.

The firearms issue is just a part of their bigger picture.

What people need to realize is Obama is just a puppet, there are way bigger forces behind the scenes lurking in the shadows.

gsmgc watch out. you might get the "tin foil hat " comment like me.The gun ban in no way is completely over. Our politicians on state and federal level just wanna rule over us, period. And there is a bigger plan. I believe. Hopefully we fight hard, stick together, stop the NAME CALLING and keep our eyes on the prize. Until then, work the cards we are dealt and fight like hell.

This is exactly how a lot of stuff ends up becoming law, both at the federal and state level.

Because they could possibly back door it as an amendment
Or
People are still willing to pay crazy prices
Or
People don't feel like its "safe" yet

Agreed to all the above Pirces does not matter if there is little to know supply and it will keep go up( seems like firearm prices is dropping though not ammo ) All it need is another mass shooting and the process repeats itself for 2014 and so forth

I had seen a clip where Bloomberg has all but given up on the so called assault rifles and turned to pistols.  Basically he was spinning it to the effect of "well we really knew it wasn't the assault rifles, but it's really the pistols," sort of a deal.

Frikken politicians, what a bunch of worms.
